what she says: im fine

what she means: even though clary fray is the main character, she's the most under appreciated and least talked about. clary is one of the strongest characters on the show. her mother got kidnapped, she found out her whole life was a lie, she found out her father is the most dangerous rogue shadowhunter, her best friend got kidnapped, she thought she couldn't trust luke, dot was killed, and everyone in the shadow world is hunting her for the mortal cup. despite all of this shit people still call her "whiny" and "weak" for being upset about all that's happened to her. that's completely unrealistic. her whole life came crashing down and she's supposed to be automatically okay with that? she can't show emotion and be determined to save her mother? she shows emotion while also being a smol badass who doesn't take anybody's shit. she doesn't let alec or jace or maryse or anyone intimidate her. she'll fight anyone and probably win. i love clary fray for a lot of reasons, but mainly because she's a strong woman who's also not afraid to show emotion. she deserves so much more love from this fandom.
