"=⌕ / 🌐 What is Yu-Gi-Oh! 5VRAINS?

This is an alternate universe of both Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's and Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS in which both are set within the same continuity! It's a collaborative project between Kaz and Bonnie—two best friends who love to write together!

Everything about this AU is self-indulgent and catered towards us specifically, but we thought it would be fun to share with the fandom as we carefully craft out the narrative together.

We'll be using this blog to share artwork, writing, edits, lore drops, etc. which will also be condensed to this carrd.

A Brief Introduction . . .

While exploring the furthest corners of LINK VRAINS, Ai and Playmaker discover a long abandoned cloud network housing the data left behind by Ark Cradle. Upon further inspection, they find that most of the data is encrypted—however, they do manage to locate four data cores with unusual code.

Ai touches one of these cores in an attempt to inspect it more closely, only for it to inspect him back. The core was already primed to be injected with new data material, and it latched onto the Ignis algorithm that Ai emits.

The core forms into a new Ignis—Bruno—who is perplexed by the situation he's in.

Within a few weeks of taking Bruno from LINK VRAINS, Yusaku is targeted by an unknown stalker who pinpoints his location in Den City. Fearing for his safety, Yusaku wipes his computer, grabs any identifying documents, and flees with Ai and Bruno.

Unsure of where else to go, Yusaku seeks refuge with a member of the Hanoi—Daan, also known as Blanc within LINK VRAINS. However, he and Ai do not disclose Bruno's existence to him at first.
