A friend set up a little camping trip mid-October; I decided to tag along.
Up at 7,500 feet, the air was clear and cool -- the evening was a bit chilly and windy, but the morning, when these photos were taken, was a perfect autumn morning.
Three others came up for part of the evening but didn’t stay the night, unfortunately! They missed the squirrel trying to climb on the tent a friend and I were sleeping; they missed the maniacal cackle of a raccoon (or something...) and a darn good breakfast.
They did get to enjoy the skunk during dinner and smores though -- that skunk really wanted to be our new friend, that’s for sure.
And don’t worry: we the campsite just as clean as we’d found it.
