Klaroline Fanfic Update: In the Eyes of a Saint
In honor of Klaroline Fanfiction Week, I have updated by canon-ish TO fix-it, In the Eyes of a Saint.Â
Canon fix-it. Before his death, Klaroline travel the world searching for answers to reunite the Mikaelsons and save the twins. Meanwhile, Carolope work together to stop The Merge and resurrect the hybrid⌠but what if the only way out is down the rabbit hole? With more questions than answers, the only thing they know for sure is that nothing will ever be the same. Hizzie. Posie.
She pulled away with a gasp but her lover only rolled his eyes. âWell, now we HAVE to compel him,â he said with an annoyed groan.
âWhat? No! You do not get to win by default,â she said in an accusatory tone as she pointed an admonishing finger in his direction.
âOf course, I do,â he said light heartedly. âUnless you think you can persuade him to forget that youâre a blood-sucking demon?â he asked in a cocky tone as a smug grin fell across his lips.
âUgh! There goes my football field,â she said petulantly.
âDonât worry, love. Youâll have it yet,â he promised as he wiped away a drop of blood from to corner of her lip and fed it to her. âIâll write you a check after I untie you,â he teased, his eyes darkening a shade when she sucked his thumb, flicking her tongue across the pad.
The small man held up a shaky finger to point at the immortal blonde, his skin the color of a mocha latte. His eyes were wide as he said in a terrified whisper, âSekhmet.â
âAfraid not, mate,â Klaus said as he clapped the man on his quaking shoulder, their playful moment a thing of the past. âNot that I donât personally believe youâre a goddess,â he added smoothly over his shoulder at the woman now crossing her arms over her chest and glaring at him with narrowed eyes. He raked his gaze up and down her perfect curves one last time before sighing and turning back to the curator. As much as it would have pleased him to see her use her vampiric gifts, he knew better than to ask if she wanted to do the honors. Resigned to doing the dirty work, he pulled the man to him by the lapels of his black suit jacket.
Meanwhile, back in Mystic FallsâŚ
âI donât like it,â Damon said as soon as theyâd heard everything about the spell.
Elena clicked her teeth at him. âBabe, itâs a vial of blood for a sick kid.â
âSheâs not a kid,â he corrected his wife. âSheâs a powerful witch inhabited by an even more powerful witch strong enough to take out a Mikaelson and stupid enough to fall for one,â he said venomously.
âHope is hardly her father and she didnât exactly stay taken out,â Bonnie keenly pointed out. âShe wants to stop The Merge as badly as Caroline, not to mention your favorite drinking buddy.â
âSheâs Klausâ daughter. What happens when this all goes to hell and Lizzie dies? How sweet and innocent is she going to be when she shuts it all off?â he spat back.
âNot everybody deals with loss by shutting off the part of them that feels, Damon,â Elena added angrily. Holding up a hand to silence him when his face registered his mistake, she resolutely stated, âAnd thatâs all the more reason to help keep it from happening. For all we know, no more Eledain, no more Merge.â Turning to Bonnie, she firmly said, âIâll do it.â
