Beautiful, no notes. (Found it on Facebook, tracked it back to Reddit)
just overheard my dad on the phone going “yeah, i’d be more than happy to buy her daughter off of you, how much would you be willing to trade her for?” and got Very Worried for a second before remembering that he manages dairy farms for a living. surely there’s gotta be a better way to word that man
I've probably posted about this before but it still gets me that Ripley (my parrot) has a special nickname for my spouse, Tev. Like he knows and uses the names of everyone in his flock (me, Tev, Steve, and Cheese. also a couple of our friends and my mom's dog) but because Tev calls him "Ripley buddy," a couple years ago Ripley started calling him "Tev buddy" instead of just Tev. He doesn't call anybody else buddy. He knows that 'buddy' is a special suffix for him and Tev to use with each other's names because they love each other. Doesn't that just melt your fucking heart
They love each other

Protesters voiced anger at the new guidance on single sex-spaces and fears that trans people are being excluded from society.
"Every single person who marched today is proof that we are not going anywhere, that our joy is louder than their hate, and that London Trans+ Pride will keep fighting, keep loving and keep growing until every trans person is safe, seen, and free," they added.
Before the march, a mother of a trans woman who took her own life said "more children are going to die" unless Mr Burnham works to reverse the "anti-trans policies" that Sir Keir Starmer oversaw.
being an adult is just saying to yourself “this is the weekend i’ll clean my [x]” and then proceeding to not do that because it’s the weekend and you deserve to relax, goddamnit
why does this have 85K notes
because we reblogged it instead of cleaning our [x]

Ignatius has been entranced like this for twenty minutes. I don't have the heart to tell him that it's not real lava.
When I was at the movie theatre they were advertising a romcom where the premise was that unmarried people are only legally allowed to have sex once a year and that one, that one made me put my head in my hands.
It’s called One Night Only, it’s a real movie, and yes it’s very heterosexual looking.
That’s like, idk. A premise for a fanfiction porn intro written by a fifteen year old.
You know it’s especially odd because historically there have actually been legal bans on premarital sex in many places. Fornication laws and whatnot. Like this is being used as the premise for some kinda goofy little romcom but it’s also just like? Real life? But with a one day exception for some reason?
People are gonna have sex anyways. I feel like I’m losing my mind.
There’s a really weird amount of stories where at least part of the premise is “Woah. What if… sex was banned?”
Yeah no shit sherlock it already is/was.
Remember when i said after they passed the Transgender Amendment Bill, they would come for your rights next?
It was a peaceful protest. Students (mind you, TEENAGERS) were purposefully locked inside jantar mantar. They did not panic. The police launched tear gas, beat them with lathis, and squads pointed AK-47s at students with books and flowers in their hands. For people who have been living under a rock, or who live outside India, do you know what this protest was against?
Over an exam leak. Over a national exam leak which caused 2.2 million students to retake the test. At least 12 students commited suicide. And instead of taking responsibility?
They will come for you.
Edit: The AK-47 is referring to the sudden increase in security around the parliament. You have to do a bit of digging to find it but there are multiple videos from different angles. Doesn't exactly change the fact that the protestors were students and they were actively pointing it at them.
