For those who don't know: Ikumi Nakamura is the woman who was senior artist on Bayonetta, and designed the titular character along with Hideki Kamiya. Their greatest moment of bonding was over their insistence that Bayonetta keep her glasses on at all times. Nakamura cannot go to horny jail. She is the warden.

I'm demi and I'm either bored or annoyed by sex in stories, be them published or fanfic. I hate how fairy smut stealths its way into the middle of the fantasy section, and people like me unwittingly buy it because hey, it's nice to try new authors. Smutty books (stop calling it "spice" please, real life does not need Tiktok self-sensoring) should not be planted in the middle of the fantasy section without anything that lets potential buyers know it's porn masquerading as plot. It shouldn't be listed in online marketplaces the same way, either.

THAT BEING SAID if you like these books, I will fight tooth and nail for your right to read them. If it's all you want to read, then that's fine because it's not my business. Your reading time is "you" time, and I'm not allowed to intrude on that.

Apparently, my decision to be silly and make fanart of someone's writing (because I genuinely enjoy the story the person is writing and I was struck with inspiration upon reading a particular scene) has benevolent and wildly unforeseen consequences.

I apparently gained a bit of control of the canon because said writer really loved the art and decided what I drew/draw is canon.

2. Writer put said artwork into the document of his story right below the scene, so now it's IN the story where people who read the story will see it (with a link to me)

3. He sent the artwork to all his friends and people he knows because he was so excited

Wholesome interaction and I watched him do all that in real time, good stuff. However...there are two more consequences I was notified of today...nearly a full week after I gave the artwork.

Seeing the artwork caused his friends to become interested in reading and hearing about his story, which means more people are reading what he's writing and giving him critique on the story (which he actively asks for).

Apparently, upon seeing the art, his writer friends got a sudden second wind to pick back up writing they'd abandoned for a few months. Because, I quote, "seeing that someone enjoyed {his} writing enough to take the time to make art of it gave them the motivation that maybe THEY can write something that will inspire someone to also create something." I have accidentally caused a writing frenzy among his writer friends and my silly idea to make art for someone has had a butterfly effect for people who I don't even know.

Uhh...I'm pretty sure there's a moral here but I am tired and have a great deal of emotions about this.

I originally started a painting of Terra and then scrapped it only to start again. My second attempt! I wanted to depict Kefka putting the crown on her before the events of the game. Terra is a great character and it's satisfying to see her find herself. She's seriously awesome, and although I was considering just going with a cool pose, I wanted to do something a bit different.

Decorating Ideas for Impossible, AI-generated, Non-euclidean Houses

Look at this crazy Minecraft-ass staircase: tight corner, doorway right next to the stairs, mix of colors/materials, wall sticking out halfway into the stairway (I think it's a curtain but that's equally stupid), window where you could fall out of it if it was open, indecipherable painting at waist level, and a random flower pot because that's how you decorate in Minecraft.

Sometimes slop is so damn funny.

protagonists can and will be sexist, racist, insensitive, cruel, stupid, etc, especially towards the beginning of a story. these are called character flaws and they are a surprise tool that will lead to narrative fulfillment later

And sometimes "narrative fulfillment" doesn't mean "the character overcomes their flaws" or even "the antihero is punished for their flaws"! sometimes it means the narrative says "wow was that fucked up or what? anyway i'm rod sterling"
