Kaori Moritani (also known as Kaori Morisumi or WANKU) Toshi’s ex-wife, who manipulated him to serve as slave to MASAYA. She only lived as wife with Toshi 1 year and the other 10 with Masaya.
MASAYA (real name: Touru Kurabuchi) Healing World leader. In his evil plans was arranged a marriage of Moritani and Toshi. He used her all the time to approach to Toshi and sadly he fell in their trap. Masaya infriged on him mental and physical injuries and exploted him. Toshi performed over 3000 shows by 2007 and released around 33 albums and singles produced by Masaya under the next labels:

Kitou (Toshi’s lawyer) said that there are websites where Home of Heart/Healing World sell Toshi’s CD, DVD and other stuff produced by them not only in Japan but also in other countries.He’s concerned that people abroad might buy those products and get involved with Home of Heart because the Home of Heart issues haven’t been reported in their countries.

Toshi felt guilty about having made people become victims by playing a role of a billboard for Home of Heart and wanted to prevent more people from becoming victims as amends. I think he sacrificed himself to reveal their evil deeds and urge people to beware that they don’t get involved with Home of Heart.

Home of heart claims to be a company performing a self-culture seminar, but, actually, teaches every idea as a leader of an absolute in MASAYA (Toru Kurabuchi) which is a trainer when you must throw away all (all such as human relations of then, family relations, property, work) of the life to contribute to abandoned all things.
They use technique of fraudulent threatening mind operation for being in the habit of it for the inside staff with a seminar participant.

When Toshi first went solo in 1992, his music was uplifting rock with a lot of ballads. Toshi was tired of everything about showbusiness and X. Yoshiki once admitted that hide and he has done everything to change Toshimitsu Deyama into Toshi. Toshi wasn’t done to become a rockstar and live like an artist, just remember that he wanted to became a doctor. Yoshiki and hide always taught him how to speak, how to dress, how to make up, how to sing and be on interviews and concerts.
Yoshiki confessed that Toshi was pretty tired of this lifestyle, which was killing his own true self. During a concert, to slowly announced his departure from X, Toshi killed himself on scene (theatrically).
Next, he ceassed his excentric hairstyle, to adopte a more classical look. Then he said on an interview : “ (…) I need changings, I wanna be a singer” Yoshiki could not believe that Toshi had left the band. He could not bear to replace Toshi’s part in X Japan, so it was decided that X would disband. Yoshiki and hide had the intention to reform X on 2000 with hide on vocal, but unfortunatelly, hide died on 1998, killing at that time Yoshiki’s hope.

During an interview on June 1997, Yoshiki said that Toshi would have been a vicitm of a sect in Japan. In 1997, Toshi married the actress Kaori Moritani, which was already part of the Home of Heart sect. The worst about this mariage is that Kaori hates everything about X. When this famous mariage has been officially announced, Kaori would have been harass by some X fans. Under his new wife influences, Toshi took part of the cult. Masaya would have brainwashed Toshi, telling him that he is just a puppet for Yoshiki.

After X Japan’s disbandment and his joining of Home of Heart, his music became almost entirely acoustic. Since 1998, Home of Heart’s leader Masaya wrote all of his music, which they refer to as “healing music”. In early 1998 Toshi decided to donate all his money to a charity owned by Masaya. But Toshi’s older brother, who was in charge of his finances, refused claiming that Toshi had been “brainwashed” and a lawsuit followed.
Toshi visited welfare institutions such as old man institutions of the whole country, a child nursing home, a handicapped person institution, a hospital on the pretence of volunteer consolation every day and performs mini-live broadcasting, but it’s a visit that actually counted on sales of CD’s and looks for the talented person whom, in addition, Masaya needs and is for a seminar and a concert of Masaya, a lecture for the purpose of inviting innocents. “Volunteer consolation” and a way to tell are fraudulent in it by oneself.
When on April 20, 2004, Lemuria, another organization owned by Masaya which also utilizes “healing music”, was brought up on charges of child abuse, Toshi was involved in the court cases as a witness. After the charges were announced, Toshi decided to take a break and didn’t release any material.
Over 2006-2007, Toshi decided that he was going to help Yoshiki reunite X Japan, performing with the reunited band for the first time in 2007. Toshi with T-Earth was created in 2008, played a type of music (also completely written by Masaya) they called “eco hard rock”.
He continued to perform with X Japan, while beginning the eco-rock band called “T-Earth” under Masaya’s auspices, as well as releasing nearly a single a month, doing duets with other Home of Heart members and Kaori, lashing out at the sect’s opponents, and working himself into a breakdown. Fans were decidedly split about his career choices and their opinions of T-Earth and the other Masaya work.
He was hospitalized, suffering from “intercostal neuralgia” and mutism as side effects from psychiatric injury and injury to his larynx and chest muscles from physical overwork. He physically couldn’t sing, all activities were put on hold until he arrived in LA for the filming of X Japan’s PV Jade, where he was only supposed to move his lips from not being able to sing.

On 2010 was leaked to the press that Toshi was handling his divorce. Originally in the form of a small, seemingly out of nowhere news report, which was originally dismissed as rumor until January 17 when Toshi made a blog post on his Mixi (which was the only site under his control at the time) giving his point of view on these matters, and announcing a press conference that was held on January 18, 2010. Toshi filed a lawsuit against his record company Home of Heart, Ltd., accusing them of claiming all of his income over the past 12 years, eventually forcing him to announce bankruptcy. Effectively severing ties with the company and its leader Masaya. He also divorced his wife Kaori Moritani, who had also been working for Home of Heart, Ltd., in February of the same year. Toshi even disclosed how they “effectively have not been husband and wife” saying: “Aside from having met her occasionally related to work, I do not know anything about her actual life.” Toshi also claims that she had been living with Masaya for the past 10 years.
Toshi had the strength to expose the cult before the media and face up to the lies he told while Brainwashed. In the press conference Toshi give with his lawyers a full explanation of their separation and denounced the cult Masaya for theft and extortion. This is the summary of what was said at that conference was published in the BXtE site. Where the main points are:
1. From 1998 until now, he has been working for Home of Heart Ltd, subsidiary of Healing World Ltd, who have handled all their income. Toshi reported them for theft because despite the work, they managed earnings and he has not received anything, not even the royalties derivatived from X Japan, and that he has been living with the least and with help of friends.
2. Since 10 years ago he doesn’t live with his wife Kaori Moritani as a couple . Aside of meet her for work matter he don’t known of her life, and long ago, Kaori chose to live within Masaya’s cult . He is now getting in divorce. Meanwhile, Kaori has been posting on her blog that she was happy with Toshi, in addition that he forces to perform duets with her. Toshi belied that accusation.
3. About Toshi Office Ltd (company responsible of managing his earnings) He claims that has never had any rights or control over that. All profits going to stop to Kaori Moritani, Home of Heart and Healing World, who incurred in large debts for taxes and requested loans in his name. Because of that, now Toshi owes more than 100 million yen (765,000 euros) from loans and fees, so he must declares himsefl in bankruptcy. He requested an investigation to know what happened to the money.
This led to his need to depend on friends and whatever he could scrounge for almost everything including food, his being a target of surveillance in a tiny Tokyo apartment while Kaori and Masaya lived in a mansion, and his eventual mental and physical breakdown.

After that, he thanked her friends who have helped and decided to dissolve the “Toshi with T-Earth”, the band culminated after a farewell concert produced by Yoshiki.
On February 8, Toshi opened a new official website, which announced that he would release one last mini album, entitled Samurai Japan, on February 24. The website, album and merchandise all have his name written as ToshI, possibly suggesting that Home of Heart, Ltd. has the rights to his previous stage name.
As of 2011, he completed bankruptcy, restarted his solo career free of Masaya as solo projects and as Toshi featuring Yoshiki, his voice is once again at top form, and he seems to be well on his way to one of the best, most inspiring comebacks in the Visual Kei scene.
Toshi released the book Brainwash ~Comeback from 12 Years of Hell~ on July 23, 2014, which talks about his leaving X Japan, being “brainwashed”, reuniting with X and going bankrupt.
