Stripped naked
I used to like having things strapped to me. But nope, I am not into bondage, yet. 2013, have seen the birth of the wearable era, with Pebble, Nike Fuelband, Fitbit and Jawbone first iteration came out. An early adopter, I’m always sniffing around for new and improved gadgetries from different manufacturer and brands.
I had the Fuelband, the MiCoach system, and the Nike Sportwatch with a HRM. Everything is good, where you can actually see what you have been doing for a couple of days, your steps taken, your pace and your heart rate per minute. It’s all about the data.
Lately, as I have taken a more serious approach towards fitness, the idea of strapping myself in is no longer a joy. Personally, I became ignorant towards how much I have improved over the day. Well, to tell the truth, yeah, you should be ignorant to your day-by-day improvement, and focus more on the workout itself and evaluate yourself in a more long term kind of way. Rome wasn’t built in one day.
Now, let’s just say I’m more comfortable working out ‘naked’, until the day that wearables can be worn without charging every night or every fortnight.
