so this had probably already been said before, but i'm genuinely surprised at the amount of hate god of war laufey is getting.

the game didn't even receive a proper trailer and people are already judging it so harshly. i fear that for a character who haunted the narrative for two whole games, dare i say i'm glad to finally meet her?

i understand the annoyance of replacing a main character, especially someone as iconic as kratos. but kratos had 5 games already and multiple spinoffs, you'll live.

i also would like to address the casual sexism and misogyny within the fandom. why did i see a video of "leaked gow gameplay." and it's just laufey making food or washing the house, or worse yet, giving kratos head.

the sheer disrespect for women that i'm seeing after this game was announced is insane, and upsets me a lot.

Still thinking about the contrast between Kralkatorrik's "Nothing terrifies an Elder Dragon. Not even death." and then Soo-Won's "Can I confess something, little one? I am afraid to die".

I don't have any coherent words but I just want to yell about those two little bits of dialogue because man they are good. You have Kralkatorrik, prideful and destructive, a crystal shadow of death, proclaiming he is not afraid, and then Soo-Won, the mother of the world, countless millenia old, and she is. Something about the creator of reality as we know it, the Dragon of Life, being so vulnerable about such a mortal thing as death really gets me. I wish we'd got to see the other Dragons' perspectives on death, especially Zhaitan.

it used to be less mainstream, and long (over 100k+ words) fics were more popular, shipping characters from *different* fandoms was normal, and stuff like that.
