It's pride month so I'll allow myself to express one opinion on the internet :
There are no "exact color" of pride flags.
I see more and more sites and posts talking about the exact hex codes for the lesbian flag, or the right purple for the ace one, and how it should be more or less saturated and I just want to say: pride flags were meant to be sewn in your kitchen. To be spraypainted and to be recognised.
There are no "exact colors" of pride flags because you should do them with what you have ! Nobody should care if you use a crimson red instead of a cherry red or whatever ! Be free ! wave your colors ! The colors you have !
more characters with psychic powers who get migraines and seizures after they use them. i wanna see someone kill a bunch of ppl with their mind and then lay in a dark room vomiting for two days
Nigerian Pride 🏳️🌈🇳🇬
I meant to have this out yesterday. Happy belated pride. :)
I'm glad you all like the Nigeria Pride post!
Originally, I went in worried the opposite would happen. Growing up, I've been taught that Nigeria, the country, is homophobic. (I was born in America.) But over time, I learned that there's tons of other queer Nigerians; some are out, and some are in the closet 😭.
I'm also not used to this much attention, lol
Thank you all!
happy pride

At the risk of sounding anti-intellectual, I think that college should be free and also not a requirement for employment outside of highly specialized career fields
At the risk of sounding like an effete intellectual, I do actually think you should be allowed to just take college courses indefinitely
technically you can, if you don't care about degrees.
Free Harvard courses. Free Courses from Stanford. Free Courses from MIT. Free courses from Yale. Free courses from Princeton.
Free courses on Coursera.
Free Courses on EDx Free Courses on Alison
For paid, there's The Great Courses+/Wonderium. 20$ a month for unlimited courses.
When searching, the phrases you're looking for are Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs), or you can do a general search of say, "free online college courses." Oh, and so you don't get surprised like I did, have an avoid: Hillsdale College is a conservative Christian site and not a valid MOOC place. Sign up with them and you will get things like THIS IS WHY THE LEFT IS TURNING YOUR KIDS TRANS AND GAY in your inbox.
@yourunderwaterskies I wanted to say thank you so much for adding these links, seriously, they've been life-changingly helpful to me-
And I also wanted to mention that humanitarian organisations have free courses too, like the Red Cross on international humanitarian law.

During @theocoeuur's wonderful Victorian Handwriting Workshop from Terror Camp 2025, a certain Hodgepodge got a bit carried away and suggested writing out the Hodgson monologue to practice our new fancy penmanship. And because Terror fans are insane and amazing, several of us actually did it!
So in honor of Christos Lawton's birthday today, and to commemorate this hodgful happening, I wanted to collect everyone's beautiful calligraphy together in one masterpost of Hodgologues. Thank you so much to Teddy for running such a great workshop, and to everyone who created such beautiful artistic renditions of this wonderfully written and beautifully acted scene!

The Boats Place on King William Island 1859
While several search expedition moved off to learn what happened to the crew of Sir John Franklin. Lieutenant Hobson of the McClinctock expedition found a boat during his sledge trip to King William Island in 1859. This place became one of the most famous on King William Island together with Victory point, Terror bay, Cape Felix and others.
Rob Ebersol illustated what Hobson found in 1859.
I am a staunch believer in the power of crossover AUs also being the perfect setting for fix-it plotlines. Also I just really like both of these franchises rn and wanted to exercise my ability to weaponize free will.

A unique set of 14 daguerreotypes of the officers of the Franklin expedition, 1845
This remarkable set of three-quarter length daguerreotype portraits was made, en plein air, by the Beard Studio aboard Her Majesty’s Ship, the Erebus, on 15-17 May 1845, just three days before Sir John Franklin sailed on his legendary scientific voyage to the Northwest Passage, never to return.

Thinking about Thomas Armitage (possibly) being found with the Peglar Papers. Carrying a piece of his friend at the very end.
Unwell because turns out it was actually Peglar found with his papers. HES BEEN IDENTIFIED
Researchers at the University of Waterloo have identified the remains of four more crew members of Sir John Franklin’s ill-fated expedition
