This makes me so mad because if it was a yes/no thing, then why would you consent to it? Why would you consent to all the pain and shit that goes with depression ?!? I’m so mad rn tbh

This kind of message is even worse because it literally tells depressed people that we are doing something wrong and makes us feel like there’s some easy fix to our misery that we are just not good enough to figure out. It is literally victim blaming and it some of the least helpful shit you can do for a depressed person.

#SayHerName (7/22/15): Another transgender WOC has been found dead. 25-year old India Clarke is the 10th trans woman this year (and the 9th TWOC) to be killed in the US, and it was sadly in my hometown. Details are still emerging, but the local media have been horrendous, refusing to call her by her name. The police are also refusing to identify her as trans or treat this as a hate crime.

The AP Stylebook says reporters should, “use the pronoun preferred by the individuals who have acquired the physical characteristics of the opposite sex or present themselves in a way that does not correspond with their sex at birth. If that preference is not expressed, use the pronoun consistent with the way the individuals live publicly.”

Has anyone ever thought that maybe Anaconda wasn’t nominated for vid of the year because it wasn’t that good?  It’s literally Nicki shaking her ass for 90% of it.  Not saying I don’t love the video or think its necessary and empowering for women but come on its not ground breaking in anyway.  I honestly just think she’s believing her own hype so much and comes off as whiny.  Beyonce was nominated for VoTY and so was Bruno and Kendrick so I don’t see how she is playing the race card.  If Beyonce was the only Artist of colour up for nomination yes there is definitely a problem.  A lot of people are saying that oh Beyonce being awarded isn’t enough.  Well sure if the nomination list was filled with white women.  The nomination list looks very balanced to me.  I think each video nominated definitely deserved it.  Stop making everything a race issue and stop defending Nicki when she is clearly wrong without thinking for yourselves.  

And as for the Feeling Myself video.  It is basic as fuck.  And to put it on Tidal and have to pay 20 odd dollars just to watch it? I don’t think so.
