Sofia sighed for what felt like the 40th time. She had P.E this period and her class was out on the field playing soccer. Everything was going well except for the fact that she was either tripping over the ball or missing the shot completely. “Fuck this shit I’m done.” Oddly enough, the kick out of frustration was one of the only times she’d actually kicked the ball without missing. The soccer ball went flying through the air, almost hitting someone who dogged it at the last second. She jogged over to them. “Shit, you okay?”

kendra was stretching out on the field with a few girls in her class before they began to play as she chatted. as she straightened herself she immediately saw a ball coming towards her where she reacted swiftly. she made a face at sofia almost instantly unsure what she was doing. “yeah, i’m fine. what was that?” she questioned, pulling down her shirt.

kendra’s eyes sparkled in excitement from receiving an invite to a ‘rager’ as danny called it. “are you serious? that sounds like fun and less of a mess of doing it at your own home.” she grins wanting to join in on what he had planned. “i think getting by with my mom will be easy. spinner is a different story but i think he can get distracted by some girl.”

whenever their mom is out late working, the two end up having their movie night. they order pizza and just munch on their snacks they have hidden in each of their rooms. it usually ends with a mess in the living room and the knocked out. kendra is always on the couch by herself as she ends up pushing spinner off so he has to sleep on the floor.

the blonde let out a soft sigh as she shut her book from the other who was across from her. “sorry- i guess im just not fully here tonight.” the said. it was unlike her to let her mind get so jumbled and side tracked. “what were you saying?” she asked looking up at them.

it wasn’t exactly ideal for kendra to go up to emma with how intense she was usually about most things. she smiled politely at the blonde deciding to repeat what she had to say. “i don’t think i’ll be able to make it to the cleanup. i didn’t realize i also had a family event so it just overlapped. i hope that’s no big deal.”

Clare crinkles her nose, a lame chuckle leaving her, “No way.” Clare had a hard time believing her, always finding it hard to believe that Clare was receiving at kind of attention that wasn’t towards academics at all. “None that  I noticed at least… Maybe they’re all looking at you. You look like a beautiful forest fairy.”

kenda smiled over at her friend seeing the noticeable embarrassment that she understood too well. she would often get that way but was learning to strip that habit away. “i think that’s a lie, edwards. you and i both know it.” she sticks her tongue out playfully. “i’m sure there has been a few looks. forest fairy was definitely the vibes for tonight.” she takes a bite out of her cookie. “speaking of, we should definitely have a theme night next sleepover.”
