About the OC ;
Standing at 5’6”, she has an average build, not especially athletic. Kennedy looks like a normal fifteen-year-old, her hair is naturally a warm, honey-blonde color. Normally a little messy with stormy blue eyes that pair perfectly.
Backstory : John and Rachel were 20 and 19 at the time. Long before his relationship with Oliva. He met Kennedy’s mother while they were both home for the summer. They were young, impulsive, and completely convinced they had time to figure everything out later. Then Rachel found out she was pregnant and it flip everything upside down. It caused them to argue constantly, John wanted to be involved in his little girls life and Rachel didn’t think he could put anything before the military.
During one of the more intense arguments she looked at him and said, “You don’t get to see this baby.” And that was one of the last few conversations they had together before she kicked him out.
Growing up Kennedy believed that her father didn’t wanna be there, that he just walked out. At least, that’s what Rachel told her. When she was about 8 her mother got married. At first he seemed nice, funny, patient, helpful. Never once raised his voice. Then he flipped. Every mistake became her fault, when he was mad it was everyone’s problem. If she got a B, why wasn’t it an A, if it was an A why wasn’t it a 100%
She’d escape to the local movie theater. When she was 14 there was a guy that worked at the counter. Freshly 15. He had a nice smile, short brown curly hair…their hands would brush briefly when she went to pay. They slowly got to know each other. Found out they had similar taste in movies, music even found out his name. Miller. Miller Rhodes. Kennedy and Miller got so close, infact, she was never paying anymore he would just let her in to any movie she wanted. After about 2 months her and Miller got together. He met her mom, was nice to her stepdad even when he was in a mood. Then…about 4 months later, Rachel and Kennedys stepfather got into a fatal car wreck. 2 weeks before she turned 15.
So. She moved with her father, still in NY. When she realized her father was the new Captain America. The one kids at school would whisper about at lunch, how he killed someone. Kennedy hated it, hated staying with him. John welcomed her with open arms but all she said was, “You don’t get to act like you’re my dad.”
When she moved to the Thunderbolts* tower she was freshly 15. She expects everyone to treat her like a burden, like some stupid 15 year old but is welcomed in like a family member that was always there.
Eventually, she starts to call John “Dad”. Smiles, but even sometimes she pretends that she hates the world.
Walker hates Miller. Thinks he’s a bad influence. Sure, he smokes every so often…but they’re teenagers! Miller acts like John did at that age, in some aspects.
The Thunderbolts* become like a small family to her.
