The participation of the Jedi on Geonosis would prove to be an omen of what the Clone Wars would bring for the guardians of peace and justice. The battle showed what the Jedi were and also what they weren’t. The Jedi were compassionate beings who didn’t hesitate to rescue a fellow Jedi in need and who did anything they could to protect the Galactic Republic. But the Jedi had evolved into diplomats and keepers of the peace instead of hardened battlefield commanders. The outcome of the Battle of Geonosis would be disastrous for the Jedi Order, as about 170 of the 200 Jedi would perish on Geonosis’ reddish soil.

You can’t force someone to love you, or force someone to treat you how you want to be treated — they have to want to do that in their own. If someone wanted to be loud and proud about their love for you, they would. If someone wanted to spoil you, they would — don’t beg for it.

When you continuously have this hope that someone can become who you want them to be, rather than see them for who they truly are — you do a disservice to yourself because there’s someone out there who is who you want and will treat you how you deserve without begging them to.

When someone shows you who they are and shows you how they truly feel about you — believe them the first time rather than trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, and hope that you can change them. You can’t change anyone who doesn’t want to be changed.
