Brandon had walked into the bar, ready to get his daily whiskey fix. He had a long day of showing around apartments that he just wanted to relax. However, that was a little hard to do as a few seats over from his regular spot there was a man who was relentlessly trying to pick up the other who clearly was not interested. He huffed out as he made his way to the person sitting at the bar, instead of going to sit at his normal spot. “Hey, babe, you ready to go?” he played along looking at the other. “They’re with me,” he said looking at the man who was standing way too close. “You can go now,” he said, waving his hand before turning to the other.
kenzie sat at the edge of the barstool, leaning into his book. sure, the bar wasn’t the ideal spot to get any reading done, but it was the closest food place to his job; and he was on a 45 minute break. “thanks again, but like i said-- i can’t drink right now. i’m on the clock,” he explained to the stranger that just wouldn’t budget. finally, kenzie sighed in relief as the older man entered the situation and explained the persistent guy away. “i owe you my life,” he smirked, looking up at his savior.
