love writing. writing is awesome. it’s a shame that it involves writing though
There is no one size fits all for writing advise, or what a good story looks like. Believe in your self and love your work.
I know everyone says it’s best to just stick to “said” as a dialogue tag bc it disappears and that’s true and I mostly do but I want to take a moment for my all-time favorite dialogue tag, “lied.” Absolutely nothing hits like “‘I’m here to help,’ he lied.” NOTHING.
ABSOLUTELY one of my favourites.
Stolen on an ACOTAR fb group.
I can't it's hilarious 💀

"Yes."
We all have that one character we’re in too deep for.
There is no joy like the joy of a writer who has just figured out that a throwaway line they put into the first few paragraphs of a story is actually the key to a major plot point and possibly even the theme underlying the entire thing.
Just…yesssssss.
it’s really great when you can hyperfixate on your own story. however it’s not great when you decide to hyperfixate on your fictional city’s infrastructure instead of. you know. writing.
