So. The whole concept of Mo Xuanyu looking extremely alike to Jin Guangyao and Lan Xichen's heart breaking over and over again whenever he sees Wei Wuxian in Mo Xuanyu at Cloud Recesses is incredible and wonderful and so angsty.

On top of that what if by the time Lan Xichen eventually comes out of seclusion Jin Lin has started using Xiao-shushu's trademark smile in politics? And whenever he has to deal with the Jin, Lan Xichen has to see A-Yao's smile on his nephew's face? Not even just the smile, the flattery and subtle manipulations Jin Guangyao once did and Jin Ling learns to wield it well?

He'll have to see A-Yao at conferences and also in Cloud Recesses...

This is 'ouchie' but also so so so beautiful.

LXC knowing JGYs legacy was not wasted. LXC looking at JL and understanding there was someone else there who loved JGY. LXC—who's lost all hope—during a conference watching JL fight for the good of the common people, for the watchtowers, and suddenly speaking up after so long because for the first time since JGYs death he wants to truly support and stand by someone.

LXC watching over his nephew and understanding this is why JGY had him live: because the jianghu still has to be protected, because JL needs all the support he can get, because there's still some leftover good and it's his to care for.

No matter how alone he feels, LXC isn't alone, and JL understands.
