Fuck you for saying the show is for nerds and outcast to then exclude good queer repesantation completly and dismissing it all in the end, calling us noise and selling us for dumb. Fuck you for being unable to write a logical script and using AI to finish a story that was so important for many. Fuck you for misunderstanding your own characters. the fact that Will had to come out like those YouTubers that got threatened into being outed and decided to do it themselves before the pos who has that information can do it is so sick actually... and it being presented as empowerment instead of being recognized as something that should have never happened is even more sick.

Will Byers and Alan Turing
Alan Turing helped to win the war against the N*zis in WWII, he was a hero and still he got punished for being a homosexual.
He got chemically castrated, they wanted to punish his identity and desires. He was prevented from experiencing life and love fully.
Will Byers helped to win the war against Vecna/MF (who ironically has been compared to N*zis in the show in S2) he is a hero, he has superpowers and yet the viewers diminish and humiliate him for being gay. The Duffers humiliate the character, almost punishing him for being who he is, prevented him from experiencing romantic love.
Heroes with brilliant minds and abilities and still punished for wanting love and being who they are.
so ted and karen didn't know about el before season 5. ted said mike was visiting his sweetiepie in season 4.... very interesting very very interesting

incredibly fun fact about byler: will and mike’s favorite bands in canon reflect their upbringings!!
the clash, will byers’ favorite band (which he shares with jonathan), came out of the british punk scene, which has its roots in london’s thatcher era working class. just like will comes from a working class family.
the butthole surfers, mike wheeler’s favorite band, were influenced by the hardcore punk scene, which came out of the american middle class suburbs and was specifically a reaction to reagan era conservatism inspired by british punk. sort of like how mike comes from a well off conservative family - and is often motivated by will.
