0 BODY

Mostly cloned organic tissue with integrated materials (think polymers, alloys, other composites, etc. but more advanced than today's tech) for enhanced physiological functions

Notes:

Aux processor + integrated camera + integrated comms in head

Most joints reinforced for power & strength

Main processors + digital storage components in abdomen

Double-jointed knees & elbows allow for greater degree of freedom

Lower legs mostly comprised of synthetic materials, unlike rest of body

1 BODYSUIT

Thin layer that functions similar to a wetsuit: provides some insulation and corrosion and abrasion resistance. Lessens chance of snags between prostheses and fabrics. Less protective than most actual wetsuits.

2 ARMOR

Contains three sub-components:

Soft suit

Soft plates

Hard plates

The soft suit goes over the bodysuit and provides attachment points for the armor plates. The soft plates are semi-flexible materials that can conform to contours and bend to an extent for shock absorption. The hard plates provide more protection at the cost of increased rigidity and decreased flexibility. The spinal column integrates into the armor to supply power for active components.

Notes:

Field camera + aux mics + comms booster in helmet

Faceplate can reduce in opacity

Top of forearm guard retracts for mounted energy weapons

happy new year here's a time lapse of this post where you get to see me fighting with the background. The recording spans about 4h20m in real time, but I estimate that there was at least one hour that was not captured, so the total time spent drawing was likely closer to 6h.

New year, new obsession that has taken over my life. I barely drew in the first half of the year, but then churned out more pieces than usual in the latter half, hence the major modifications to the template. A lot of frustration, but also (what I'd like to think is) a lot of progress.

Got to see two zines wrap up production, and a third wrap up pre-orders and head into production. I had some wonderful experiences working with some brilliant folks for those projects, especially as the first zines I'd ever applied to.

I think I did okay in improving the two points I mentioned in my 2024 summary: 1) learning to pace myself for bigger pieces and 2) diversifying my mental repertoire. The latter has been a big struggle, and I'm still not happy with my finished works, but that's just how it goes sometimes. At least I can draw horses now lol. I did fail at my original objective of setting more specific goals, which probably hindered real progress, but given the wild ride that was 2025 I suppose I am just glad to have been able to draw as much as I did.

Community-wise I have been staying away from engaging with others regarding RDR2 because of spoilers, so it's been a bit lonely (but at the same time, I don't want to rush through the story). I really appreciate my friends who cheer me on.

For 2026 I want to execute the more ambitious ideas that I keep putting aside out of a fear of failure. Draw more indulgent things. Do more visual storytelling. Unfortunately no ideas yet for specific goals this year either, but... we'll see.
