It may not be something you have experienced, but that does not make someone else's experience invalid. African American people in America are being oppressed and killed. Indigenous people across Australia are being dehumanised, disappeared, and killed. Tamils in Sri Lanka are being vilified and attacked. We are incredibly privileged to be able to share our views on social media. But privilege doesn't give you the freedom to discriminate, to be ignorant, or to view yourself higher than others. Instead use privilege to aid, educate, advocate, assist, learn, understand, teach, share, and care for others. Because we choose life over death, love over hate, inclusion over discrimination, community over greed.
