I’m posting it like this again for everyone to see.

In an ask sluchesi sent me (link), they told me that they asked their japanese-speaking friend to check whether the translation for the newest chapter is correct or not. Mangastream speaks more of the truth than Mangapanda does, but it still is not 100% right.

The most important fact they left out is in the last panel (the grey parts are the ones I exchanged). Sasuke does not talk about their feelings in general, but for their feelings for each other, and that is an important and turning point in their relationship.

In this moment, both of them have never been this vulnerable before, especially Sasuke. Sasuke has made himself open on purpose. This time he tries to make Naruto understand through words, and not through fists. He tries to make Naruto understand that yes, he knows what Naruto’s feeling for him, and he understands them (this is the first time for Sasuke to admit this) and he also states that Naruto therefore knows what Sasuke feels for him, what he has denied every time they’ve met so far.

Sasuke opens himself up. For the first time in forever he is talking about his feelings. His feelings for the most important person in his life, Naruto, and for Sasuke to do that by himself, for him to take the first step is a super huge character development we all should appreciate.

Gotou didn’t like guys.

Not like that, at least - he wasn’t gay, he’d never held any interest in guys. But then there was Masayoshi, interesting conundrum that he was, and Gotou was left staring at his computer screen without ever seeing it, turning this puzzle over in his head again and again. This should be easy. He wasn’t gay, Masayoshi was a guy. Simple.

It wasn’t, though. Leave it to Masayoshi to broach everything ass-backwards (absolutely literally, he thought with a flush) and just make a freaking mess out of Gotou’s perfectly calm and maybe not entirely normal but at least QUIET life.

But, Masayoshi.

Shaggy hair and big eyes and slender but still clearly masculine; big mouth and big grin and energetic and always so happy to see Gotou, there was no guile there hiding underneath the surface. It wasn’t that Masayoshi wasn’t clever, he was just straightforward, and often in the most unique way.

There was no doubt in his mind that Masayoshi was in love with him. But what did he do with that, what did he do with this strange knot of feelings he’d been picking at and trying to untangle for months? Masayoshi was his friend, he didn’t think of friends like that. Gotou groaned and dragged both of his hands through his hair. Masayoshi had completely destroyed his brain, he was the only thing on Gotou’s mind now - he should be worried about his suspension, about the mandated evaluation … but the only thing he could think about was his face, the worry and the determination and he was not in love with a man. He was. Not. Gay.

Masayoshi’s smile, for him alone.

"We are going out for hot pot," Goto had said pointedly.  Masayoshi had been standing in front of him, sheepishly holding up a box of instant curry, which had been his response when Goto had asked what they were having for dinner that night.  It had been his answer for weeks, and frankly Goto couldn’t figure out how Masayoshi had managed to stay alive for so long. 

Masayoshi had been ecstatic, prancing around the apartment and singing some nonsense song about how Goto-san was taking him on a date, and Goto was pretty sure he was going to regret this. 

Now that it was happening, he definitely regretted it, but not for the reasons he thought he would. 

He hadn’t expected Masayoshi to mirror his alcohol order; it wasn’t that Masayoshi never drank, but it was rare enough that it made Goto take notice.  This meant that Masayoshi hadn’t developed any level of tolerance, which explained why there was a very eager foot rubbing Goto’s leg under the table. 

"Yoshi, I told you to cut that out," Goto said; his voice sounded strange in his own ears, husky and a little strangled. 

Masayoshi grinned, leaning forward over the table.  His ears were pink at the tips and he had that sort of haze over his eyes that Goto usually found attractive when they weren’t in public.  ”Am I bothering you, Hidenori?” 

Goto still wasn’t used to Masayoshi using his given name, especially in this context in that voice.  It didn’t help that Masayoshi was continuing to wriggle his foot up the inside of Goto’s thigh.  He was blushing, too, which meant he knew exactly what he was doing and that made it worse.  ”You can feel how much you’re bothering me, idiot,” Goto managed, closing his eyes and swallowing hard.
