This art piece is a hero card for someone that my partner and I have played with on City of Heroes Homecoming, for their character, as the player behind the character is loosing the battle to cancer, that they've been fighting for the past 4 years, and they don't have much time left at the time of this post. I can't afford to donate to their medical bills but I can make art in their honor, so they'll always have a hero card, and be remembered, and something for all their friends to remember them by. If you're a player in the CoH community on Homecoming, please come online, visit the Everlasting shard, and take a moment to hold a torch for a fallen member of the community. For those of you who don't know, City of Heroes is an older MMO that's based around comic book themed heroes and villains, and after 21+ years it's still being played by hundreds of people!
I myself play as well, and for those who play on Homecoming's Everlasting shard, I recently made a toon that hangs out with the R.A.T.S.

Like the site once at one of the centers of artist spaces. An ART site, suddenly encouraging and even integrating AI into it's site and content is so insane to me
They ENCOURAGE the use of AI 'art'. They encourage selling AI 'art'. They integrate systems FOR AI 'artists'.
They have an option built into their website that allows you to "hide your prompt" so others can't copy It.. Your AI prompt..
I remember when DeviantArt was fun, and good. I used to read Undertale AU comics and Cookie Run Kingdom AU comics on there.
Now it feels more and more overrun by slop.
My feed is curated to avoid it, but even so, even without the AI 'Art' on my page, I still see all the AI 'Features' and it pmo

For anyone wondering, this is purely fan art and not intended to be sold, but also a showcase of my work
For anyone who has no idea who this is: Lord Recluse is the main villain, and end game boss of City of Heroes, which is an MMO and a comic book series, from the mid to late 2000s. With that said you can still play the game on City of Heroes Homecoming Free to play, no microtransactions, and hundreds of people to play with, on a game that's over 20 years old and still going!

This is not a false alarm With and without lyrics Both of these digital works took about 6 hours to fully do, including hand writing the lyrics from Rush's Red Tide. A commentary on climate change, climate crisis, and hoping the message will push for additional wildlife and environmental protections, push for cancellation of AI centers, and get Mark Carney and Doug Ford to listen to people when we say we don't want AI Datacenters built here! Indigenous folks up north have already had a hard enough time with a lack of resources from the federal government. Maybe this time with these out of control fires they might listen. Maybe.
