I’ve been feeling extremely negative recently. Behind on my uni project. These next few posts are created from how I currently feel, whilst trying to learn and expand my creative techniques.

Today I decided to follow a two and a half hour tutorial on indesign. This programme is something quite new to me - I’ve dabble and there a handful of times a year ago, but since then nothing.

For our next project, we are expected to use indesign to the best of our abilities. So I followed a YouTube tutorial by the creator ‘Envato Tuts+’ where he gave a huge amount of information on spreads, paragraph styles, images and frames, colour, typekit etc.

It probably looks extremely basic but I’m proud to now know the basics

Final background by me. This piece was inspired by the electronic music I was listening to at the time - mainly consisting of Kaytranada.

Art piece by me, I don’t know why the word freedom stuck out to me. I think it may be because of what is happening in Nigeria with SARS, the innocent public and protestors there are in such an unfortunate situation and I hope that soon they can be freed from it all

Tyler, The Creator digital painting I’ve been working on. This has been my longest piece to finish mainly due to pushing it back to do other things. Started on desktop and then moved to my iPad, where this screen recording comes from. UNFINISHED WORK

Definitely one of my favourite albums from the past year has got to be Kaytranada’s ‘BUBBA’. I felt a little inspired to create something that references his album. So I took to both Photoshop and ProCreate to make something.

I used an image of my own eyes and drew reference from his merch, album cover and promotional material.

I used photoshop to create the chrome lettering and for the coloured background, I then used procreate to illustrate my eyes and eyebrows.
