Another work for the monochromatic course. (We actually have the critique in 4 hours for these.)

This time we got a task to photograph a series of 3 to 5 photos (analogical, happily I have my own film camera), develop the film and make the photos in darkroom. As my spring has been more like sitting in a train I thought it suited for me to make a series about those. Yay. I chose 4 photos in the end. I actually had a fifth one but it felt a little off with the others so yeah, 4 is better.

So yeah, I have done everything by hand and to be honest I love working in a darkroom :D It so much fun and time flies by. Also I got to play a little with “dodge and burn” there too.

Another school work!

This set was my digital work for our monochromatic course. I wanted to try something “new” for me so I photographed this semi documentary set. I got to work with new challenges as everything was going on so fast and I had to react quickly. Also the light was what it was at times so it wasn’t that easy.

This set is also important to me as I photographed it on the day of a fashion show that I was producing with some classmates. So yeah, you can see some of the models of our fashion show here getting their hair and make-up done by Studio Arctic Style! :)

Wow, time to show you one school works :)

These photos were for the “Portrait and studio” course we had, the task was to photograph a person in connection to their environment or field of work. My friend studies textile and interior design and I thought it would be great to photograph her. Also one other friend was actually working in their studio and she ended in the photos too, oops? :D

I remember promising some photos of the solar eclipse and it actually took me this long to have the time to edits those that I liked.

I’ll publish more of my school work soonish and get editing some cosplay photos right after I’m finished with this school year! WoopWoop~

Sorry for the long silence! Today I got to see the solar eclipse and I was prepared in the right way too! I got solar filter from our photography teacher so I could actually watch and photograph it safely without damaging my eyes or my camera!

I started my minor photography studies last week and we already got two tasks that we will be doing through the entire course (='till December). One of these two tasks is to find your own "corner" and photograph that place everyday. I have my tripod (in the first photo) set on my balcony and in the same position and hopefully it'll stay there 'till this task is over. It really helps as the photo should always have the same layout.

I started working on my task right after we got this task and some days I almost forget that I have to take the photo but at the same time I love this task as I get to see how the view from my balcony changes  :3

Back in May (24.05.2014) I had the pleasure to photograph Yumi out of cosplay and in some what fashion type of photoshoot instead. 

I needed some new photos for my portfolio and she was kind to model for me.
