seeing trans women out in public is like warm sunlight washing over me it genuinely brightens my mood

Happy pride month specifically to folks on the asexual and aromantic spectrum who oftentimes feel isolated and left out of the conversation. You belong here as much as the rest of us and I hope that you are all loved in a way that is comforting to you.
It's legit so unnatural to read! People were illiterate for almost all of human existence! Literacy is a new phenomenon! It reshapes your brain and makes you worse at recognizing faces! Scary af! You need to be way more mindful about it! Don't just read every street sign you see! Kick your reading addiction and embrace a more natural lifestyle! Spend your time masturbating to drawings of furries instead!

fun fact: if a fictional character is given too many poorly written romantic subplots that ultimately dont go anywhere, the aromantic community is legally allowed to claim the character as one of their own
A reminder that this tumblr is not a safe place for any kind of bigotry.
You'll never be "too gay",
And be unapologetically queer š³ļøāš
Imagine being the gays at a pride event in 2004 living their lives when someone grabs the microphone and announces to the room that Ronald Reagan was pronounced dead. Can you even imagine the hype, the celebration, the pure elation
This is the Pride Month that It will happen. I feel it in my gay bones
call me a crackpot conspiracy theorist but i dont think its a coincidence that right around the time the us and uk governments were going mask-off transphobic and directly instructing intelligence agencies to treat trans activists as "violent extremists" english speaking social media became flooded w discourse driving a wedge between two of the largest subcomminities of trans ppl, with tons of definitely super real accounts posting shit like "grrr im a trans man and i think whiney feminist trans women should shut their bitch mouths and get back in the kitchen" or "grrrrr i think we should kill all men ESPECIALLY trans men and btw im a totally real trans woman"
im not saying trans ppl are incapable of being transphobic. lots of ppl are assholes and some of those assholes happen to be trans. but if ur constantly focusing on trans ppl like theyre the main driving force of transphobia in society, while cis politicians are actively dismantling our rights, then ur acting like a fed and im gonna treat u like one. we need to stop fighting each other and start fighting together
The thing about people using their trauma to justify being against kink / kink at Pride is like. Your being triggered by seeing people in leather harnesses or whatever is not a reason to expect that other people in public cater to your comfort. I'm sorry. Having a specific type of trauma doesn't make you immune to needing to address your own triggers and recognize that a you problem doesn't dictate public spaces. No one at a public daytime Pride parade is literally fucking in the street so what you're really talking about is attire (leather, collars, accessories) or non-explicit acts (walking someone on a leash). You being triggered is fine, and makes sense, but it doesn't give you the right or authority to ban it from a public space. "You think I shouldn't be able to be part of the Pride community because I cannot guarantee that if I go to Pride I won't see kink?" I think you need to ask yourself whose responsibility it is to address your reactions to things in public, which is always a factor you cannot control. If I hear classical music or children crying anywhere I need to leave, but I don't get to choose what music plays at a store or whether children are present or if they cry. I just remove myself when and if this happens. You're going to fucking be ok, I promise.
Project Hail Mary is such a fascinating cultural artifact. Itās about a threat to the Entire World, and in response to this threat to the Entire World, all the global governments work together, the politicians listen to scientists and do what the scientists say, everybody has to make some hard sacrifices for the good of the whole and they do. It was written in 2019/2020 when the world was extremely not doing that
