“Oh…Well…” Upon hearing those words, Syl felt saddened as well. While she wouldn’t ask any further out of respect, it was enough to move her with pity. Her mouth slowly curled up into a smile as she tried to comfort the other person.

“I kinda sorta get you there, but that just means it’s all the better when you prove them wrong!” Syl twirled in place, chuckling a little, then looked back at the other woman. “I’ll stick with you if nobody else wants~ Then we’ll work together to make you start turning heads~” Syl grinned, hoping that her words had some sort of impact.

“So whaddya say?”

“Well, I became a Precure by asking the deity of Earth to become one…” Swan replied. Admittedly, she was surprised that this lady came up to her like she did, but there was no reason to be rude and ignore her! Hey, maybe she could even make a new friend in the process!

“That’s pretty nifty, I’d say~” she replied. Magical girls usually existed only in the confines of Saturday morning cartoon shows, but getting to meet one like this girl was more than just “exciting”. Plus, with her own telekinetic powers, Syl was sure she more than qualified for such a role, and the cute outfits she could wear were an added bonus.

“Where could I meet this deity, you think?” Syl asked her. “Maybe I could become a magical girl like you!” A smile lit up her face at the idea of “Magical Girl Syl”...yeah, that had a nice ring to it. But she snapped herself out of her little daydream to properly introduce herself.

“The name’s Syl, by the way~ Just a gal having an adventure on her own~!”

“Yeah…” a bit of an understatement, but hiding her *powerlevel* was still something Ayako had to do, like any type of mage.

“I just mess around things for fun. Or maybe the odd thing made from home to have some extra money.”

She looked over at the girl’s computer screen, seeing line after line after line of computer code that she could barely understand. Simple syntax was no problem, but clearly this girl was on a whole different level compared to what she had done before. For Ayako to pull off something like this impressed Syl greatly.

“You’re pretty amazing, y’know~” she randomly spoke out. “I don’t think I could ever do something like this as well as you do. Hey...you think you could teach me? I’m pretty curious now~!” Spur-of-the-moment decisions like this were the usual thing for Syl, but it never hurts to try.

“Ugh, no.” That statement was wrong on so many levels Saori didn’t even know where to begin. She could already sense an oncoming migraine as she rubbed at her temples and her brow furrowed in disbelief. “I’m guessing you must be Syl.”

“Heyyyy, we’re off to a good start then!!!” she replied, obviously ignoring the rather exasperated tone Saori was making. “I think I might know who you are then! Since Kao’s told me a couple of things about you~” Finger to her chin, she tried to recall what her name was; it had been a while since Kao last mentioned Saori to her.

“S...Sa...Sa...Something with an ‘S’. Hold on, don’t tell me just yet!”

A couple more seconds passed, Syl probably trying way too hard just to recall one name. Until at last...

“Sayaka! That’s your name, right? Did I get it right?!”

Blew it.
