"um, no, I don't think we live in some sort of fanservice AU where each house has a device you must strip down to use" I say as I confidently step into the shower fully clothed.
Wait, there’s physical copies of Fallout Equestria? That’d have to be massive.
The first run was five hardbacks of progressively increasing girth. The stack is hefty, but the books are comfortable. Each chapter has chapter art too, which I consider a plus in all fantasy books.
Later runs were single-book softcover monstrosities. I think I saw another five-volume hardback run recently, but I’m not deeply involved in the fandom anymore.
The second print run was two volumes, hardback, with jackets. Dunno about any subsequent runs.
I still think the 5-volume split was the best option. It’s a big damn story.
(For anyone who hasn’t read it: yes, that’s a functional replica of the main character’s go-to weapon. No, I didn’t customize it like that; I bought it from the person who did.)
anon PLEASE tell me your teacher is the author of this
Ok, I Kind of hate that I know this, but I’m pretty sure that anon’s teacher did NOT write the books the others are showing off. He wrote the darker, edgier and somehow even longer fanfic OF that fanfic called Project Horizons.
Original Fallout Equestria was written by someone known as Kkat who I’m 90% sure is a woman and the story only has some PG-13ish scenes at worst (you know, aside from the violence and gore that comes with a Fallout setting.) Project Horizons was written by a guy known as Somber, who I remember him mentioning in the post-chapter notes that he got fired for failing the wrong student once and the fic itself includes multiple explicit sex scenes.
it’s important to me u know what the 3rd printing looks like. please note the gilded pages
one of tumblr’s secret trump cards is its ability to deliver absolutely OBLITERATING gut punches like this post without any context or warning whatsoever
Wow, are you sure that adds anything useful?
I’m not here to be useful, I’m here for my own entertainment. Part of that is thinking about furry porn.

my completely original comic idea called "blender explode"
this was an awesome way to learn that cad-comic has been shadowbanned for 4 years which also explains why i can't see the 500 asks in its askbox
this post is a good honeypot for people that think their country's access to cheap fossil fuels is more important than the lives of anyone living in the middle east
how posting anything about my life feels
Geniune question. If China, North korea, Cuba etc are doing undemocratic things to protect themselves from captialism what's with the censorship. If the remiges were good, speech wouldn't threaten them and they could afford to have things completely unregulated. Heck, the US gets away with free speech and we complain all the time and yet you think its an evil empire!
The only threat I could see is a flood of propaganda from captialists, but really, are the citzens of these countries, gullible enough to fall for propaganda? Are they really too stupid to see there own self interest. Come on.
I think this question starts from a liberal assumption I reject outright: that "free speech" exists outside of power. It doesn't.
Every society reproduces itself ideologically. Liberal capitalism does it. Socialism does it. Feudalism did it. The question isn't whether ideology exists. It's which historical order is reproducing itself through it.
Every hegemonic order rests on three mutually reinforcing pillars: material capabilities, institutions, and ideas. Ideas aren't decorations sitting on top of society. They're one of the things that holds society together. Schools, media, universities, films, NGOs, think tanks, even the language we use to describe politics, they all participate in reproducing a particular "common sense."
Which brings me to the United States.
People often say, "But America allows criticism!" Sure. You can call the President an idiot. You can complain about healthcare. You can say Congress is corrupt.
What you generally don't do is question the basic legitimacy of capitalist property relations themselves, because those assumptions have already become common sense. That's hegemony. The system doesn't need to silence every critic when most people already understand the world through concepts the system itself helped produce.
Socialist states came into existence under very different historical conditions. Civil wars. Coups. Sanctions. Invasions. Covert operations. Colour revolutions. Intelligence agencies funding opposition media. Whether one agrees with their policies or not, it's not irrational that they view information as another terrain of geopolitical struggle rather than some neutral marketplace of ideas.
"But if socialism is good, why would it fear criticism?"
I would probably flip the question around. Why assume criticism exists outside the struggle for hegemony?
Ideas don't descend from heaven. They come attached to institutions, funding, ownership structures, and international power. A newspaper isn't just a newspaper. A social media platform isn't just an app. They exist inside a historical structure dominated by particular states, corporations, and class interests.
Now, does that automatically justify censorship?
No. But I'm not in the business of handing out moral gold stars.
A genuinely confident historical bloc should ideally rely more on consent than coercion. If a state finds itself increasingly dependent on repression to preserve itself, that may indicate its hegemony is weakening rather than strengthening.
But the inverse liberal assumption, that information is naturally neutral until the evil state contaminates it, is just as ideological.
Finally, the point about people being "too smart to fall for propaganda" misunderstands how hegemony works. Hegemony doesn't require people to be stupid. It requires institutions that make one worldview feel so normal that alternatives stop looking like alternatives at all.
That's why I'm reminded of Robert Cox's most famous line: "theory is always for someone and for some purpose."
The same applies to speech. Speech is never just speech. It is always embedded in institutions, material power, and competing projects of world order. The real question is not who censors, whether censorship is bad, etc, but which historical structure is being reproduced, and whose interests that structure ultimately serves.
Anyone who actually strives for justice and revolution knows that freedom of speech is the biggest lie. We never have freedom of speech. Speech for revolutionaries is always curtailed, constricted, suppressed. Freedom of speech in bourgeois capitalism is freedom for the oppressors to control speech and call it freedom.
digital selfharm is real. do NOT check up on that ex-partner/ex-friend. do NOT reread those old messages/conversations that you know will hurt your feelings all over again or that will otherwise make you feel like shit. do NOT block evade to see if you’re being talked about. inhale. exhale. let it pass and you’ll be better for it.
Me when I started playing Umamusume: It kinda sucks that my trainersona is explicitly human. Like, what if I want to play a 40 year old washed up former runner who day drinks and is living vicariously through her trainees but doesn't feel like unpacking that right now? Where's that representation?
Light Hello: hey how's it going
life pro tip: if you happen to be considering purchasing an LG TV or monitor, you possibly want to pick something else! and if you have an LG monitor that has not been plugged into anything in a while, you might want to leave it that way!
if you already have an LG monitor or TV or intend to buy one, you probably want to watch this video and keep an eye on gamers nexus for updates (or anyone else covering the LG spying situation):
posted july 16 2026
LG is doing some bad things. how bad? well. here are some very brief bullet points. I am not an expert, gamers nexus is, see the video for more information than this:
LG monitors (brand new and years old, cheap and expensive) auto-install LG's own adware-spyware called LG Monitor App onto windows 10 and 11 computers. you plug in an LG monitor for video output and this gets installed automatically. no hitting OK, no confirmation, no toggles, NOTHING.
the auto-installed LG Monitor App auto-grants itself access to your internet connection and ALL computer resources. the LG Monitor App has the ability to collect: geolocation data, device data, personal information, online activity data, contact data, and more!
...and it shows pop-up ads! because fuck you
on some affected versions of windows, auto-installed shitware like the LG Monitor App can be prevented by navigating to gpedit.msc -> computer configuration -> administrative templates -> system -> device installation -> prevent automatic download of applications associated with metadata
...but, if your LG monitor already installed the LG Monitor App, this is like closing the barn door after the horse got out. and that horse has the logs of everything you were doing on your computer! someone stop that fucking horse!!!
unrelated to the LG Monitor App, many LG TV owners are now required to tell all household members and guests that their LG TV is recording and processing ALL nearby voices. or else they may be in violation of local eavesdropping and wiretapping laws. for owning a fucking LG TV.
plus, how many businesses, workplaces, public spaces use LG TVs?
allegedly the microphone spying can be turned off by disabling microphone features, but LG has been caught disregarding opt-out settings before.
LG TVs can record everything that happens on the TV, including the video output of connected devices like phones, computers, gaming consoles, anything that happens on the TV screen.
LG was sued for their spying, and as a result of that spying suit, now shows pop-ups saying oops! they got caught spying and intend to continue spying. thanks for buying LG!
as of when the video was posted, there was no list of every spying LG monitor or TV. but this stuff is getting rolled out to more and more LG devices, including those purchased years ago.
and that is the shortest summary I can make of this situation without just summarizing more of the gamers nexus video.
Update: We are working on a follow-up to the LG story and have some disturbing findings re: LG's products. It will take us a while to parse
⬆️posted july 23 2026
gamers nexus is fairly respected in technology journalism. they fly around the world investigating companies that fuck people over and have pressured major companies to make major changes over the years.
so for gamers nexus to say that this LG spying situation is both unprecedented in how uniquely bad it is in this era of spying, and that it gets even worse than their video where they already say to stop buying and using LG products while recanting every prior recommendation for LG products?
oooooofff
Why do straight trans people always beg for more representation and more acknowledgment? How would that be any different from a white gay saying we need to pay attention to white gays more?
I just im having a tough time understanding why these heterosexuals seem to genuinely think gay people have privilege over them somehow. Its annoying.
the three genders
Britt is desperate to kill trans women and is grooming teenagers into wanting to kill trans women. Die kiwifarms users.
Half of this website just went along with the lies of a right winger with murderous intentions. Everyone who participated in this and continues to participate in this is a moral monster and I hope everything single one of you fucking nazis never sleep easy until you die.
this has already been said by Isabella and Anonsee and coldbrewpup and isff and Mordred and so many other people but like. y'all just want blood at any cost huh.
The left, especially the online left, is full of wolves. I'm basically lifting this straight from FD's streams, but it's just as true about Tumblr as it is about YouTube.
Do you remember hbomberguy's video on James Somerton? Do you remember how it blew up both on YouTube and here? That was basically a massive call-out post. The Tumblr equivalent would have been a bunch of screenshots, the Twitter equivalent would have been a google doc.
I don't know if this is exclusive to the left, or is a byproduct of the internet commodifing attention, but the online left has a serious problem where a huge portion of it just wants to see a person get stripped down, branded a danger to the "community", and then beaten with a progressive looking hammer. Of course this tends to target the most socially precarious, especially on Tumblr where the algorithm has more authority over which harassment campaigns get popular, and so the wolves are sicced on the minorities which leftists like to claim they support.
I think what's happening on Tumblr is so bad in part because non-leftists have figured this out, and are using it to their advantage with the sole aim of harming and killing as many trans women as possible. Britt is far from a leftist in any real sense of the word, but uses the same playbook and language to galvanize leftists against her targets.
Some of yall would watch gladiator matches.
