tears filled the young womanâs eyes. she could not save the person she promised to help to safety. panic attacks began to take over. despite knowing she had done everything she could to try saving the stranger wasnât it enough. she didnât know why it did not work. as tears dropped down on her cheeks, she sighed â i couldnât save them. it was too late â she said out loud. mallory could not take her eyes away from the ground. this couldnât happen, and she did not understand, she had⌠no.. this was different from the last time, this was not like home; there was the worldâs end different â this is cannot happen again â she had no idea what had caused this, but she thought that she presumably would never get her questions answered. presumably was it a person who had done it, a supernatural creature of some sort, or it was earth who had collapsed. whatever it was, it scared her and it felt as she could not breath, nor did she think her magic worked properly in this city.Â
Ruby had seen hell. Watched demons crawl over each other trying to get out of the Gate and every bit of backstabbing and violence that it entailed. What she hadnât expected to see, though, was a reenactment of it on Earth; at least not without Lucifer rising and the apocalypse beginning in earnest.  âItâs alright,â she assured the woman.  âYou canât save them all. Save yourself right now, okay? Get somewhere safe and stay there, no matter what. This has got to end, sooner or later.â
