Quick KnT Update

Hey guys!

I’ve been off Tumblr for a few days, but I wanted to hop on here really fast to share some news that will hopefully make everyone feel better about the Kimi ni Todoke ending.

I just read the December Issue, and in the first few pages of the magazine, it says that an “extra” Kimi ni Todoke “volume” will be released with next year’s May Issue (April 13) of Bessatsu Margaret!!!! (probably as one of the bonus items that come with the issues of the magazine).

The announcement seems to imply that we’ll get a peek at the lives of the characters post-series…

Without getting too spoilery, I’ll just say THERE’S STILL HOPE!! (Even though we’ll have to wait an eternity to see it…lol…)

Volume 30 (the final volume) will be released some time in March of 2018.

I’m going to translate the final chapter as quickly as possible, so keep an eye out for that! And if you messaged me over the last few days, I apologize for not getting back to you yet! You’ll definitely hear from me today!

On November 13, Kimi ni Todoke, ends in Betsuma magazine. The last chapter will be longer than usual, will be on the cover of Betsuma and will have color pages. The 30th and last volume will be released in Japan at the beginning of 2018.

Why is the last chapter a disappointment? I can't see the raws xxx

I’ll give a basic synopsis based purely on the pics.

Sawako says goodbye to her parents and heads to the train station where she meets Chizu. They talk for a bit and Chizu hugs her. Shota shows up. Chizu realises that they did it last night. Chizu leaves. Shota kisses Sawako on the station platform. Shota gives her a letter and Sawako kisses him. She gets on the train and cries as it leaves. There’s a series of panels of lots of the other characters. 

Then Shota is shown sat waiting for someone. Sawako and Shota look at each other and Sawako runs up and hugs him.

That’s it. You can probably understand why I’m disappointed now haha.

Aw man what a let down after all these chapters 😥

I know, such a disappointing ending! I find it strange that Shiina foreshadowed so many times a 10 years in the future epilogue and yet we never got it?!?!

The preview from last month was also ridiculously misleading. For it to end on such a nothing filled chapter ughh, it really didn’t feel like an ending. I’m just hoping we get some special chapters at some point or some extra content in the manga volume. *fingers crossed*
