The RA fandom seriously needs more fanfictions that aren’t just crap like really an hour of searching and I’ve found three good fanfics.

And there’s literally just reposts of the same fanart over and over again? Is there like a fandom economic crisis going on in the RA fandom????

What is with this hate? Everyone else is enjoying this fandom and writing their own little ideas and sketching their own little pictures. I’m thankful I have the wonderful chance to see all of them. Isn’t it beautiful? To see people having fun and loving a series? There’s no need to be hateful. Write your own stories, make your own fanart if you don’t like what you’ve got, but I beg, don’t hate on people. Most of all, all my writers and artists, don’t ever stop because someone’s hating on you, okay? Keep being awesome RA fandom!

Sooo… I kinda agree with both points here. The RA fandom is not exactly the largest fandom out there, lbh. So it’s no surprise that it’s hard to find some good quality fanfics, and we keep re-seeing old art. It’s not necessarily “hate” by pointing that out. And yes, all of us in this fandom are trying there best to come up with new content. I also recommend you guys check out the author ‘TrustTheCloak’ at FanFiction.Net. I don't think it's particularly this post, although saying that all but a few fanfictions are crap is most decidedly hate. However, as of late, multiple accounts have been attacking ra fanfic writers. I'm going to guess that @corpscommandantcrowley had finally had enough of seeing it and decided to address it in this post. It's quite distressing to see such hate and disrespect going around, I think we can all agree!

bruh i think you just misread a LOT

at least from my point of view, that is. i do write my own stuff, and it can be found on both ffn and ao3. what i was trying to say at least was that not many people are left and those that are aren’t what the fandom used to be.

some blogs used to have over 1k followers and they were super nice and everyone appreciated every contribution. but as @legendaryrangerhalt pointed out, people were legit hated out of the community. that’s why i’m barely active. that’s why a few of my friends are barely active. idk about op but i do agree that whats left is beautiful. i’m just disappointed.

Firstly, let me address the original poster of this. If you dislike the fanfiction you're finding, I have to ask that you not call it "crap". It's rude to the writers and if you don't like what you're finding, write fanfiction yourself! Also, why can't people repost art? We like it, and our blogs are a collection of things we like! Let people enjoy writing, so please don't be hateful.

Aseikh, "mediocre fanfictions" wow, that's not very nice. But I see here you pointed out that since you also write fanfiction and contribute to the fandom yourself, it doesn't matter so we won't dwell there. Define exactly what you mean by, "the fandom isn't what it used to be". I'm sure some people have left, but even though they're gone, that doesn't mean that the fandom is immediately bad! A lot of the new fanfiction writers are absolutely amazing, and all of the blogs I've seen are hilarious! Everyone else is enjoying this fandom, and the reason you're "disappointed" (as you mention in so many of your posts) is because you're being critical and trying to find fault where there is no fault to be found. Honestly, if you just relax some and really take a moment to breathe, I think you'll see the fandom in a whole new light!

Hey leave the writers and artists alone. If you’re not going to contibute mountains yourself you have no right to heckle those who put stuff out there. Also, this is a fandom. It’s not a serious place, and it’s not a place where people have to upload daily. This isn’t some school project, it’s what we do for fun. I agree that the fandom is pretty quiet, and that’s sad, and I wish there were more people to chat with as well. But please don’t put pressure on those for whom this is a fun outlet. Also there’s a fair bit of fanfic and art out there and insulting people on something they wanted to share with their community of RA nerds is not at all nice. Appreciate the time and effort that went into everything.

I HAVE AN IDEA, BUT I NEED YOUR HELP.

I want to make an appreciation project for Dan and Phil for their amazing TATINOF tour they had recently finished. So here’s the idea:

For those who have seen the show or have seen it on YouTube Red, you know that they have a song at the end (?) of the show, which is called The Internet Is Here (listen to it here). This is the TATINOF song, so I wanted to do something with it. This is where you guys come in. I want to make a lyric kind of song with a lot of people. Basically, I want people to write parts of the lyrics on pieces of paper and take a photo with it (so that we get the whole thing when we’re done). You may have seen this during Markiplier’s 6 Million Sub Appreciation Video or even somewhere else.

If you’re interested in this idea, please message me, or send me and ask, and I can actually get everything set up to make it possible. Also, please spread this idea around so we can get enough people from the phandom to support this idea! If you’re still confused, please message me! If your fantasy world excludes people of color or those belonging to the LGBT+ community, if it’s grossly misogynistic and white cis-male centric, that’s because YOU made it that way. Stop blaming “historical accuracy” or “believability”. It’s not the genre; it’s YOU.

It’s their fantasy world and it operates under their rules and it is as historically accurate or believable as they want it to be, just because you don’t value those things doesn’t mean other people can’t in their fantasy.

I’m a medievalist by training and I endorse this post. Also go read your medieval history, because there were POC and queer folks and powerful women in medieval Europe in our real-world history. If you choose not to put them in your Euro-fantasy, it’s not history. It’s YOU.
