THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING (2001)
If you told me a few months ago that I would be googling the drinking scene not for “swimming with hairy women” or “I think it’s affecting me” but solely for Éomer, I would have never believed you.

“I serve only the Lord of the Mark, Theoden King, son of Thengel. We do not serve the Power of the Black Land far away, but neither are we yet in open war with him; and if you are fleeing from him, then you had best leave this land. There is trouble now on all our borders, and we are threatened; but we desire only to be free, and to live as we have lived, keeping our own, and serving no foreign lord, good or evil.”
*pokes shoulder* Excuse me, mister Brandybuck. Sorry for bothering you, but who gave you the permission to look so fucking good?

You know what's unbearably adorable to me? When Éomer grieves Boromir's death by noting that Boromir seemed to him "more like to the swift sons of Eorl than to the grave Men of Gondor." Éomer doesn’t give a shit about Gondor’s illustrious history and culture and lineage and status. The best and highest compliment Éomer can think to give to a Gondorian he admired is to say, "he was one of us."
