in case you havent heard, the yume nikki fangame .flow has updated to ver.0.193 after 5 years and you can download it at the wiki or lol’s new website!

its a small update but an interesting one, the location of the hoodie effect has been changed and a new area has been added (in snow world, down the stairs)

It’s back, dreamers!  Welcome old and new to Dream Diary Jam, a game Jam all about creating fangames for the cult classic RPG Maker 2003 game Yume Nikki - and for the new YUME NIKKI ~Dream Diary~ as well.  The goal of this jam is to make a Yume Nikki fangame or demo of a fangame within 6 weeks time, starting on May 17th and ending on June 30th, the original Yume Nikki’s 15th (wow!) birthday. Manda no Yume v0.02 Update

Manda no Yume v0.02 has been released here.

v0.02 was meant to be a small update released a month or two after the 2017 Dream Diary Jam ended.

It has instead been over a year. The game has been remade multiple times since the jam version.

I’ve decided to split this update into two parts:

The first half (this one) is a remake with a minimal amount of new content added. Some content from previous versions is missing either from being cut or not being re-added yet.

The second half will be expanding on this one to add more effects, expand and polish maps, and fix outstanding issues.

There is no longer an NPC in the game that gives hints. For now I would consult a guide, I will be looking into this for the second half.

I’m sure there are many overlooked bugs/issues. Let me know and I will have them fixed soon or in the second half of this release.

Returning Nightmares is an exploration adventure-horror game being developed in RPG Maker 2003, based off Yume Nikki (with dialogue & easier to navigate maps).  You play as Akira, a young man locked up in his own bedroom, exploring his dreams to remember the events that lead him to where he is now.  But some things are better left alone… 

It’s a goofy-er game that I made to get more familiar with the engine.  It’s a parody and a tribute to edgy games and hopefully entertaining whether you like dark games or not!  The demo currently has over 20 unique areas to explore and 12 memories to collect, along with a number of strange events and odd NPCs to find and interact with.  I’m aiming to have the demo released at the end of November.

Contributor applications for Step Into a Dream: A Yume Nikki Fanzine are now open! These will remain open for for a month, then we will be contacting artists soon after! You will have until October 25th at 10:59pm PST to get in your application. If you follow our guidelines, you will have a spot in the zine.

Emails are planned to start sending on October 30th, but things may happen to push that date back.
