One thing I think was a major misstep in All Hail King Julien was not including a variety of lemur species. All the characters with names were unique and looked different, but all the background lemurs looked exactly the same.
We had unique designs for all the named characters, such as Horst and Pancho, but all the unnamed lemurs were just copy-pastes of each other with slightly different eye colors here and there.
It's especially jarring when going from AHKJ to the first Madagascar film, where we see a ton of different lemur species.
Everything is so vibrant and unique in the films in regards to the lemurs, but in the show all the background characters tend to blend together.
It's also weird how in the show Julien seems to be the only ring-tailed lemur (aside from his relatives and Magic Steve), while in the movies we see a whole bunch of unrelated ring-tailed lemurs running around.
And the copy paste lemur is one of a kind too, different from the main ones. The one with blue eyes look like no name Jack from captain Ethan's crew. Also what I noticed in the movie is that there are a lot of willies, Teds (as cops), Horsts and ring tail lemurs but yes like Julien other varieties too seem to be just one or two. Maybe they were eaten by foosa

I was thinking quite a lot about who should be the rainbow colored individual, and my mind landed on Ted. He's got LGBT written all over him!!!
King Julien's accent is Indian. I'm sure that most of the Fandom knows that Sacha Baron Cohen had a lawyer from Sri Lanka and he was inspired to imitate their Indian English accent.
Danny Jacobs did not change it. As an Indian, I'm proud of this. Also, Madagascar was once a part of South India, where i live. Madagascar separated from India with the continental drift and we still have the gap there called "palghat gap" which was formed when the island drifted away
