Entering myself into all these screenplay festivals takes an investment and a whole lot of waiting.  My first response is April 5th, followed by July, followed by another in September.  I mean, all three contests are cool, but waiting until October to announce the winner sucks.

Dark Winter

I am working on a novel about an investigator who is researching Nietzsche's accident with the horse drawn carriage. The investigator stumbles upon a journal in the library about a Christian Nazi spy and deserts his first inquiry in pursuit of reading the man's journal. The novel calls into question the investigator's Jewish faith, the Nazi's Christianity, and the meaning of love he finds with a French atheist woman.

Sunrise is the most controversial best picture film because it was then never was (marked from the record books).

I still consider it the first film to win best picture.

What is this code? (You might ask)

I had to create something fantastic and creative that could be used on screen yet still make sense.  While most movies don't dive into the actual workings of a particular code, I found this the perfect opportunity for creativity.  

For instance: Hotel Casablanca is Call Sign: 3243

Taking the last two digits of the best picture winners years and voila, I had something tangible to work with.
