    “Ah, my face is full of pie here…” A prank, she supposes. A memory she does not remember. Finding an old photobook had been fun; reminiscing about their time as children sends her a nostalgic feeling that Hakuno may no understand well, but it’s warm. They have been together for a long time, the three of them. Always taking care of each other, always supporting each other. Always being there for her despite her condition.

    “Those days sound fun.” The girl’s eyes fall low, a worried expression covering her face. Hakuno Kishinami is hardly the kind of person to hide her feelings. “I thought… looking at these would help me remember. But it’s really impossible, isn’t it?”

               — ⊰ | ♔ | ⊱ — “Kougyoku was aiming for my face in the picture, but it landed on yours instead.” The way her eyes clouded with sadness and concern... this was exactly why he had implored her not to go through the old photo albums tucked away in his shelves. Because, as expected, it did not help her remember anything. It just ended up reminding her that there was a huge tear in her memories.

              “Hakuno.” Placing a hand on her shoulder, he spoke to her in a soothing tone. He softly smiled at his dear friend. The lack of ‘Miss’ in front of her name proved just how close they were. “You don’t remember those days, but that’s fine isn’t it? As long as one of us remembers. It means that they truly did exist before. Besides, you can always make new memories. We’re all still here, so don’t lose hope.”

he studies in a top private school for rich kids.

he’s still super rich and the son of a rich family, but he doesn’t have any of the emotional baggage that came from being a magus. or the son of a p fucked up family.

so he’s not as emotionally stunted or distant and he’s capable of proper love.

he’s still super charming and friendly though. he can easily charm anyone.

he’s been engaged to his childhood friend kougyoku since they were kids, but he has zero interest in her romantically.

old leo would agree to the arrangement, but this ver of leo is not going to allow his parents to force him to marry her.

he actually has a secret lover he fell in love with.

he jokes about assassinating his parents if they don’t approve of his decisions a lot. kougyoku doesn’t think it’s very funny.

pre - established bonds:

kougyoku is his childhood friend and fiancee. she’s not someone he loves though. as a friend/sister? yes. as a lover? no. they’re just really good friends.

hakuno is another childhood friend of his and kougyoku’s. she doesn’t remember him because of her amnesia, but he still treasures her and sees her as a close friend.

shirou is a friend of his. even though he is older than leo, they get along well and love to do stupid things while their third friend hakuno judges them. the three of them form the chunni church crew (CCC).

[redacted] is his secret lover. he refers to her as his ‘juliet’ because not only is he not supposed to be dating anyone, she is the daughter of a business that his parents consider to be their worst enemy.

                    Bearing an eternal predilection for tea, she finds the very notion of someone abhorring it inconceivable. She doesn’t hesitate to presuppose that he’s fond of it as well.❝ NO ONE is as familiar with tea as I AM. In fact, I don’t doubt you’d like peppermint or cinnamon right now. It just so happens I’m new and need a new place to go to for TEA TIME. If you show me one, I’ll pick some flavors out for you for the season. ❞ Accustomed to presenting herself as vainglorious and supercilious, she’s certainly not the most skilled at practicing humility in seeking assistance.

               — ⊰ | ♔ | ⊱ — “It’s always a pleasure to meet a fellow tea lover.” Leo smiled at her, unfazed by her proud attitude. “I am actually more fond of silver tips imperial tea that can only found in Darjeeling, India. It has a robust flavor that just cannot be found anywhere. Though, the Gyokuro Tea that can be found in Japan is a close second because of its unique way of cultivation. It has a delightful aroma that cannot be imitated.” Being the heir of the wealthiest family in his world, it was only natural for him to be well acquainted with all kinds of expensive tea.

              “But of course, you must know all this since you are familiar with tea.” He would sound smug to the untrained ear, but he was actually being sincere. “I have tried cinnamon but hm... Peppermint... I know this is a type of tea commoners drink often...” Clapping his hands together, he smiled at her. “I shall take you to one of the cafes around here and I shall try this ‘Peppermint’ tea!”

    She didn’t care much about other people’s scuffles, content to let criminals wipe themselves out —- much to the chagrin of her fellow superheroes. But Natasha wouldn’t have been able to live with herself if she let the same thing happen to women and children caught in the crossfire. It startled her for just a single moment just how young the boy looked.

    But just as quickly, she moved to intervene. She was dressed in her civilian clothes, but taking down a bunch of thugs hardly required specialist weaponry. Stronger than she looked, it look little effort to twist one of the men’s arms behind his back, where Natasha pressed against it painfully. “Haven’t you heard of picking on someone your own size?”

    Glancing over the man’s shoulder and ignoring his cursing, she addressed the child, her voice undeniably smug. “Were they bothering you?”

               — ⊰ | ♔ | ⊱ — “I’m afraid I cannot divulge that information. I would be a terrible detective if I just gave out my client’s confidential information.” Leo smiled at the man who was threatening him. The way he was eerily calm unsettled the ruffians who should have the upper hand in this situation. One of them shoved him against the wall to intimidate him, but he just inwardly sighed. It seemed like he had no other choice but to whip out his gun ––

               Or not. The lady that intervened ensured that his gun would remain in his coat’s pocket. She saved him from using up his bullets on a group of thugs, so he was thankful for her help. “I don’t believe they have the intelligence to distinguish sizes.” One of them attempted to make a swipe at him, but he just crouched and quickly ran next to his savior.

               “Oh my! That was quite rude.” His jarringly calm behavior was only making them more and more angry, but he couldn’t help it. As someone who had already died more than once before, there was no way something like this would affect him. “I don’t mean to disturb you.” He glanced at the woman and smiled at her. “But I would be willingly to pay you if you took out them for me.”

( DEOATH ) ‌:

           one after another, flowers are diligently snipped from the ground; perhaps because it’s her first job, rachel treats even a simple task like this with the utmost care. earlier in the day, she’d been asked by her boss ( given their history, it’s still a bit strange to think of her that way ) to gather an assortment of flowers not used in their current bouquets. the goal’s to use them for some of their newer products.

unfortunately, her knowledge of flower language is nonexistent. ‘this one looks pretty’ is as far as her rationale goes before yet another one is added to her basket, until—blue eyes are lifted towards the stranger’s, carrying nothing but confusion.

“ … ah.” her gaze travels from the blooms in her hand back to the young man’s, and she finds herself squinting for some reason. “i see. then, i don’t need these.” even before she’s finished speaking, the flowers have already been carelessly discarded on the ground. “which ones are good?”

               — ⊰ | ♔ | ⊱ — Well wasn’t this interesting. The way she picked the flowers –– treating them as if they were a delicate and priceless gift that God blessed the world with directly contradicted the way she just suddenly dropped them on the ground. As if they were yesterday’s trash. Leo was intrigued by her behavior, but he decided not to say anything and simply continued smiling at her. “I suppose you don’t. They can’t be used now after all.” It was unfortunate, but this was how the world worked.

               Placing his hands behind his back, he walked towards the first batch of flowers and pointed at the Lavenders. “They are called Lavenders. They represent devotion and love.” He pointed at the ones next to it. “Mallows. They represent Sweetness and delicate beauty.” Leo continued going a few more flowers before asking her. “What kind of flowers are you searching for in particular?”

               — ⊰ | ♔ | ⊱ — “Oh, this is so fun! I did not realize that playing a video game could be so rewarding!” The only one that was really enjoying the game was him though since he was completely eradicating every person that made an attempt to challenge him. There was a small crowd forming around him and his machine, but he didn’t pay any attention to them since he was used to this. People were always inevitably drawn in by his charisma –– and skills in this scenario. 

              Since he was a newcomer who had never actually been to an arcade before, he shouldn’t be so good at street fighter –– but he saw everything through the eyes of a strategist. He knew what moves would work best with every scenario, so it was only natural for him to be able to wipe the floor with anyone who could not keep up with his level of intelligence. “Who would like to challenge me next?” 

             A lot of people were surprised when a lady stepped up, but not Leo. He just smiled at her and extended his hand, urging her to take a seat in the machine in front of him. "May the best player win."

( NOHREASON ) ‌:

HOW HE WISHES HE DID NOT RECALL this boy, could wipe him from memory and existence. That’s a bit overly dramatic, but Leo does admit to having hoped that their brief stint as roommates was the last of their encounters. He’s awfully cheerful considering they’re still imprisoned in a completely new location, and it truly does amplify the scowl on his face.

Tea, though, he almost can’t pass up. The week – month has been stressful, and a good cup of tea or coffee even with poor companionship is better than nothing. Then again, perhaps he’s just trying to justify staying instead of rudely running off.

<<I suppose it can’t hurt to accept.>>  And with that, he takes a seat, albeit with reluctant stiffness.

<<But I do hope you’ve the funds to cover us both since you’re the one who extended the invitation. And could you please stop referring to me as Leo number two? I’m older than you. If anything, I should be the first Leo.>>

               — ⊰ | ♔ | ⊱ — The scowl on his old pal’s face didn’t affect his mood at all, something that was apparent from the way he was brightly smiling at him. Leo was pleased when he accepted his invitation before making the decision to take a seat across him. “Of course. I invited you to join me and it would be rude for a host to make his guest pay.” Raising his hand up, he politely called a waiter over and glanced at him. “What kind of tea would you like to drink?”

              “But it would be dreadfully confusing if I called you Leo since we are both named Leo. Age isn’t important in that regard. You are Leo #2 for different reasons.” He just smiled mysteriously without elaborating. “But enough of that, how have you been doing so far in this new location”

     “—Well… Either way, it’s fine…” Anastasia coughs into her hand, reeling in her kotatsu-centered passions.

     “Ah. My name is…” She pauses. This is no Holy Grail War, not even the Lostbelt, and this boy seemed friendly enough… but the habits are still freshly ingrained. “Just ‘Caster’ is fine. I have to go now. I genuinely hope your special someone enjoys the gift.” 

     And she’s off! A princess on the run, pointedly cutting off from any further inquiries.

               — ⊰ | ♔ | ⊱ — “Ah.” It was slightly surprising to find out that she was a servant since the chances of him encountering one should be low... Now he understood why she didn’t have a kotatsu. Before he could even introduce himself or politely thank her, she cut him off and suddenly ran off. Oh dear... Maybe she didn’t want him to make any inquiries about her identity even though there was no grail war here. Still, he didn’t need to really know her real name to do what must be done.

               Taking his phone out of his pocket, he pressed a few numbers on it before calling someone. He patiently waited for the person on the other end of the line to pick up. “Hello, Leo speaking. I need your help with a small thing.”

               — ⊰ | ♔ | ⊱ — Ah. Leo found himself to be in... quite the predicament. There were a couple of armed men angrily spitting at his face, demanding him to hand over his money. Despite being surrounded by a group of ruffians that were not afraid to rough him up a little, the smile on his face didn’t falter at all. “My apologies, but I do not have any money with me at the moment. Would you accept a coupon instead?” It was an honest answer and a genuine suggestion, but the angry flames in their eyes clearly showed that they were dissatisfied with his response.

               Glancing at the young boy who suddenly appeared from around the corner, he flashed a charming and gentle smile at him. Their new guest had a weapon, so it was safe to say that he could fight. “I am sorry to bother you mister, but I would really appreciate your help cleaning this mess right now.” It was an earnest request from Leo. “I promise that you will not regret assisting me.” He didn’t hold any power in this city right now, but that was subject to change sometime in the future. Plus, he had a lot of family money.

( ARMIGERACTION ) ‌:

          “No! Well—not… exactly…!” Despite telling himself not to dwell upon it anymore than he had, he can’t help but think of how Ignis would react if he knew Prompto most likely spent it all by now. He wonders what’s worse—that thought, or this kid who had now been laughing at him; since it wasn’t out of spite, he’ll just overlook that.

          “Yeah, so long as you play your cards right, they shouldn’t suspect anything.” He seemed smarter than most kids, so nothing to worry about.

              — ⊰ | ♔ | ⊱ — Leo cleared his throat and smiled in an apologetic manner since he was being quite rude. “I apologize for laughing. I can assure you that I am not laughing at you.” Nothing personal against him. It was just amusing to watch him hit a sinking realization. “You won’t get in too much trouble, so don’t think too much about it.”

              Playing his cards right... If there was one thing he was good at, it was concocting plans to suit his own needs. “I shall have to be discreet, but I do not believe it will be a problem... Thank you for your assistance. May I ask for your name?”

               — ⊰ | ♔ | ⊱ — “Oh dear.” Leo was planning on quietly voicing his concerns in his own mind, but the flowers in the girl’s hands were... just that terrible. It caused his mouth to slip up. “My apologies miss. I do not mean to intrude, but I hope you aren’t planning on giving those flowers to someone special. They might think you hate them. Unless... your intention is to condemn them.” It was none of his business, but he couldn’t sit by and watch a lady pick such ominous flowers. Especially if it was for a parent or friend... or worse, a lover.

              “Would you like some help picking flowers? I have only recently read about the language of flowers, but I am able to recall... around 400 flowers and their meanings. It is not much, but I should be able to recognize most of the flowers in Savior's Respite.”

The bow was reciprocated in the same polite manner, following swiftly by an awkward laugh. “Ah, my apologies. With all of the colourful things happening at the time, I forgot to introduce myself. You may call me Amakusa Shirou.” Certain events had made introductions difficult during their last meeting - ones that would not be mentioned again, if he could at all help it.

Gaze fell to the sandcastle by Leo’s feet; half formed and building ever upward. A mote had been prepared for high tide, from the looks of things. “Oh.” A thoughtful pause followed, weighing up the situation at hand. “Well, I don’t see why not. However, I have very little experience with sandcastles.”

               — ⊰ | ♔ | ⊱ — “I understand the sentiment, so there is no need to apologize. The scientists are always busy brewing some kind of new activity to rattle everyone here.” Leo made it sound like they were a bunch of babysitters when they were really just experimenting on them like a bunch or lab rats. “It is a pleasure to officially meet you Amakusa.”

               The positive response he received caused his eyes to practically sparkle with excitement. According to the book he was reading, this was the perfect way to make new friends. If everything went well, then he could even start texting his new friend soon! “That is not a problem! I shall give you a brief idea on how to build the perfect castle.” 

              Picking up a lone wooden stick on the ground, he started drawing on the sand. “Now... To make sure the castle won’t fall...” The subject was childish and quite silly, but there was a commanding and distinguished air surrounding him as he spoke in a coherent and eloquent manner. As if he was a king explaining his strategy to the retainers serving under him.

     He seems to be pleased, and Anastasia cannot help but smile with pride. Yes, a Romanov’s suggestion is truly best, after all…

     “…That’s correct.”

     “I haven’t been able to use one myself, but the photos of people who use them always have a face that signifies not having a care in the world. Giving a loved one that bliss… I am sure anybody with a heart could appreciate it.”

               — ⊰ | ♔ | ⊱ — “You do not have one? Hm... That is a shame. You seem to be quite passionate about them.” A gentle lady like her deserved a kotatsu... That thought led to an idea popping in Leo’s head. “Thank you for your help. May I ask what your name is?”

          “Oh, yeah. That makes sense, actually… huh…” Wish he thought of that before giving all of his dust ( that had previously been gil ) to Prompto immediately upon arrival. With a short sigh, he shrugs it off—it’s not as if anything could be done about it now. “Anyways, about gifts—you could always try asking them? Well, not directly or anything, but, uhh… you could get them to talk about their interests somehow?”

              — ⊰ | ♔ | ⊱ — Leo noticed him trail off and stifled a little laugh. “... Did you perhaps end up spending all your dust already? You should be prepared to receive an earful when you return home.” He snapped his fingers. “Brilliant idea! I could give everyone something related to their interests. It would seem more personal then!”

      “That…” Anastasia pauses. Does she really want to respond – no. Yes! Yes?  “It’s like a warm blanket, but a table at the same time. The kotatsu… That would make a pleasurable gift.” Yes.

               — ⊰ | ♔ | ⊱ — “Ah! I have heard of a ‘kotatsu’ before! It is a Japanese invention that helps people warm up during cold times... It would be the perfect gift for christmas!”
