@kinkmeetee
Yes, you !
Miss your old post, what happened ?
Every night you dream that you talk to a genie, when you wake up you can't remember what you wished for. One morning you wake up with a giant crab pincer replacing your right arm. What do you do?
I go and let my family know, and see.. Then I wake up wondering why I dreamt that.
It's my 9 year anniversary on Tumblr 🥳

It has been almost a year since the video of George Floyd’s murder went viral — but this video is not the first of its kind. Images of anti-Black violence have never been as widespread for years — typically relegated to mainstream news outlets; these incidents are now readily available for consumption in the palm of our hands, on our desktops or any other form of technology. And are seemingly more frequent than any of us would like. The bombardment of these violent acts has contributed to the distress of Black Americans. Research has shown that experiencing racism, even vicariously, can harm the mental and physical health of others of the same racial group. As we continue to process, Free Black Therapy, joined by their educational department, Kuvit Beauty, is here to answer questions and provide tips on how to mindfully consume and post anti-Black, racist, or violent news content on social media.
Ask them a question, and head back here May 27, 2021 at 12 PM EST to see the answers.
Free Black Therapy is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and charity that connects Black therapists to Black people without adequate income or health insurance, free of charge. Our mission is simple: Black Therapists for Black People. Absolutely Free.
Launched in May 2020 by an all-women of color board, the organization began in response to the global Black Lives Matter civil rights movement for George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and numerous others — amid the COVID-19 pandemic which disproportionately affects Black people. This project was created to address the needs of mental health accessibility, cultural competence, societal stigma, and reparations to uplift the Black community.
Fox Jay, the Founder and CEO of Free Black Therapy, is empowered by empowering others. She cultivates and harvests the truest happiness from the fulfillment that comes from enlightening and empathizing with others, identifying their needs, and creating solutions to improve their quality of life. She has a strong background with 5 years of community mental health advocacy and coaching by skillfully identifying resources to facilitate spaces for healing and lasting change.
Madison and Taylor Williams, Co-Founders of Kuvit Beauty, with a passion for the beauty community and a desire to see it develop into something that celebrates and reflects the reality of our diverse world; these sisters both have strong feelings about advocating for mental health and race inclusivity in all aspects of our lives.
Through the creation of educational Black content online, Kuvit Beauty and their conversation series, Kuvit Konversations, is closing the inclusivity gap for anyone interested in the beauty industry regardless of gender, color, or sexual orientation.
