it was the honor of my life to be able to see christen press play footy one last time in the city where she captained for the club that not only made me fall in love with her, but with the sport. that original red stars team was what made me want to move to chicago and crazy how almost a decade later, i sat in the stands, wearing her jersey, blowing her kisses as she took off her boots for the very last time in her career.

will never forget her smiles, her tears, and her love for the game. her legacy truly changed the sport and i am so proud to have been able to witness her greatness.
