Johnica Week 2022 • Day 3: Makeup 💕

This is one of my favourite drawings I made for the week and I hope you'll like it too! 😊💖 It's kinda similar to the fic I wrote since I used the same prompt, with Veronica helping John with makeup 🥺💕 There's always that strange intimacy while putting on makup on another person, I hope I've been able to depict it well.

After months, finally I can post this drawing of John and Veronica from @kinole009x 's Nevermore! Right in time with December's arrival 😊 It took me so long to complete the drawing, I played a little with the color palette but I'm really satisfied and I love how this looks! It's been obviously inspired by the chapters settled in Winter at the castle, even if in the fic they live lots of tumultuous feelings towards each other... I wanted to depict them in a momemt of sweetness 🥺💜💕💖💜💖💕

Happy Halloween!

In honor of Halloween, here is a one shot that I really enjoyed writing.  It’s dark, it’s filled with angst, but there’s also beautiful friendships. <3

Summary: In the land of Nevermore, the vengeful god Trident curses John Deacon with uncontrollable powers, transforming him into the feared, hated, and exiled Black Queen.  The curse can only be broken by the love and trust of the White Queen, a young village schoolteacher named Ronnie.

But despite the good intentions of Freddie, Brian, and Roger, Ronnie is finding it impossible to trust John, thanks to his fearful appearance, dangerous magic, and one irreversible accident that changes her life forever.

Well, what can I say if not thank you? Thank you for being such an amazing musician and man, for all the inspiration you gave me in these two years I've been in the fandom, for all the good memories and all the friends I made thanks to you, thank you. 💖💖💖 As always I really hope John is having a wonderful day with his family and is surrounded by the love he deserves! Today just a little more than usual! 😊💕💜💖💕💜💖

For my birthday drawing I wanted to exaggerate, yes, I admit it. One day I said that I won't be satisfied if I haven't drawn every photo of him and with this artwork I really had a blast! It's been hard to choose among all the wonderful pictures and some of my own drawings, and putting them all together in a single piece. And it's been harder to ink and color them all on paper, I was really scared I couldn't do it in time or ruin something... but I did it successfully and I'm so happy! 😭💖💜💕💜💖💕💜 I wanted to draw him in many moments of his life, with his bandmates and his family but also, and mostly, with his bass! I also added a couple of music video references, playing with cartoony style, chibi, realistic... I just gave it all hahah and I really hope you like this! 🥺💖💖💖

Like the freckle on the Black Queen’s cheek, just below his left eye, that was faint enough to disguise itself as part of his pale skin.  And the slightest indentation by his mouth that would no doubt blend neatly into the full curve of his cheek if he ever found it within himself to smile. And the gentle lines that extended from the inner corners of his eyes and out to his cheekbones, as if he hadn’t had a proper night’s sleep in a very long time… Did monsters really have these features?”

As promised, here’s the finished version of John as the Black Queen from the story Nevermore by @kinole009x​! I love this story with my whole heart and you all know how often I suggest you all to read it hahah I’m sure I’ll never stop! I’m almost done with my re-reading of it, I want to hug all the characters so much but especially John! :(( Soon I’ll post some doodles I made of Johnica in this story, meanwhile I hope you’ll like this ^^

The Black Queen

This came out quite randomly and for sure I'll clean this sketch to make a proper illustration. Tonight I felt like drawing John from Nevermore aka my favourite fanfic, which I also think is dreadfully underrated in the fandom and for sure deserves much more attention! I'm being awfully slow at re-reading it due to being busy, but I still love it with my whole heart 😭💕💕💕 I dedicate this to the author @kinole009x , always my biggest writing inspiration. Johnica Week 2021 - Day 3: Soulmates AU 💖 (also Dancing from day 7)

For this entry I stepped a bit out of the mostly "realistic" vibe of the other entries because I wanted to draw them from my Soulmates AU, which is settled in the "Souls realm" a sort of limbo based on the It's a Hard Life video. I wrote a fic about it, titled "Golden Sparks in my Silver Soul" 💕

I imagined that this photo just... appeared in their memories' album. They have the feeling of having lived this, but like in a dream. Maybe there has been a ball where they had worn these costumes and they forgot, maybe their dream was a sort of window to another reality, another universe. Who knows? 🤔

Johnica Week 2021 - Day 2: Japan! 💖

Ah, I love Johnica in Japan so much 😭 In 1985 during a tour John flew to Japan a week earlier than the rest of the band and Veronica joined him for a lil vacation, it was her first time there. I really love to imagine them visiting temples, seeing the cherry blossoms and relaxing in an onsen! 😍

Johnica Week 2021 - Day 1: No kids day 💕

So here we are! I'm both so nervous and excited for this event, I hope everything will go smoothly 👀 For my entries I went for a "Photo memories" kind of thing, with polaroids taken in various moments and places with John and Veronica's commentaries.

For the "no kids day" I imagined them taking a small vacation for themselves and ending up being lazy the whole day 😅 Sometimes it'd be like that- I remember John saying in an interview "I'll probably make loads of plans, and then just sit around on my bottom all day long and do nothing." Same, John, same 👌🏻 I'm really happy of how this came out, it feels cozy 💖💖💖 Hope you like it!

[...] But the moment he put the pair of ice skates on his feet and tried to stand up, he discovered with horror that this time he had overestimated himself."
