while I admired Perry Mason, I was in love with (Paul?) Drake's flattop.
{2023} Epoché
Áo ngũ thân is a type of Vietnamese ancient clothing during Nguyễn dynasty. It can have loose sleeves (áo tấc, áo ngũ thân tay thụng) or tight sleeves (áo ngũ thân tay chẽn). It is the precursor of the modern Vietnamese aodai (áo dài). Pictured above is a history-themed photoshoot featuring the tight-sleeved áo ngũ thân. It is based on a historical áo ngũ thân from the time of late Nguyễn dynasty. During that time, according to the book "On and off duty in Annam", Vietnamese considered having small wrists to be a sign of feminine beauty, so the tight-sleeved áo ngũ thân was popular.
