My wife and I are spending Shabbat evening, pondering whether one would recite Ha‘Adamah over Quatrotriticale, since it’s not actually from the earth.

We’ve reached the conclusion that Shehakol is probably a better choice, since that is recited for produce grown hydroponically.

I learned recently that Spock not only personally rescued Saavik from her life on Hellguard– he took a whole year of personal leave (from being an active captain?) to install her with his parents on Vulcan, and personally saw to her education leading up to Starfleet!
