There’s going to be a lot more in the Etsy shop later this evening! I’m pouring new candles and some soaps are fully cured and ready for sale! Best time for me to take pictures is from 5:30 after, so I’d expect to see listing begin appearing at 7 or so.

I finally took the plunge and made Rinoa’s soap and I couldn’t be happier! I did a couple of practice runs with a hanger swirl before I attempted a butterfly swirl and I’m glad I did since this looks amazing and the wing shape really suits Rinoa.
Colors were an obvious choice for the soap.. took the blue right from her duster for a base, threw in a little black to match her clothes and hair for an accent, and majority of the wing shape is white for, you guessed it, the wings. Fragrance was the harder a choice.. I opted for a odd fragrance similar to a certain famous herbal shampoo. It hits the sort of rebellious tones I was going for.

Look familiar? I revisited my very first soap.. talk about a wonderful trip down memory lane! The only changes were the recipe which is now the one I use that I created instead of the tutorial one I used.. and instead of lavender essential oil, I used a fragrance oil.
Now, the recipe was obvious.. I worked hard to formulate this one just right and everyone loves it! But why the change to a fragrance oil? As weird as it is, it feels safer! Essential oils, while they can be amazing for you, can scare me a little.. some say don’t use in leave on products, other say avoid with pregnancy.. so I’m just not going to mess with them and leave them to the wonderful people who make amazing all natural soaps. I’ll keep doing my things!

Order of the Lotus Irelia! I fell in love with this skin the moment it came out. My favorite colors all rolled into one beautiful designs. (No joke there, Teal, Lilac, and Warm/Soft Pinks are my top three.) I have the skin, despite being the worst Irelia on the planet, it’s that good.
Colors were an obvious choice, while the design was harder to decide on. I started with layers.. gold for the boots, teal for the pants, pink for the shirt, and purple for the hair. From there I decided to drag the layers into each other a bit, since her design flows up and down. Bits of armor go up, the shirt drapes down, her hair flows.. wanted to try and convey that in the soap.
Fragrance was a tough one, as I had no lotus scent on hand, so I opted for water orchid instead. It seems in line with the lotus to a degree, still a floral, and really suits the color choices.

Jupiter and Venus have joined the team!
Jupiter is a very lovely coconut, lime, and verbena fragrance! It took awhile to find one just right for her, but it was worth the wait. Lime and lemon for her thunder attacks, coconut and verbena for her more earthy attacks, and some lovely vanilla and sandalwood to balance it all out. Nailed this one!
Venus is nice blend of tropical fruits, mostly mango and papaya. It screams orange and yellow and really suits her larger then life and superstar personality. It’s sweet, bold, and Mina would totally be the star of any tropical vacation.
Listings are for 10oz sizes, 4oz available upon request! (4oz listings will be a thing after I finish up the cast.) Remember, shipping is high due to heavy and fragile candles and heat protection! Any overage for shipping costs is refunded!

The Etsy shop doesn’t have much while the soap is curing, but it is slowly being stocked with nerdy candles! I’ve been starting with my Sailor Moon inspired line and so far we’re up to Mars!
Sailor Moon is a white candle and scented the a super sugary vanilla buttercream. (I think Usagi would agree it smells delicious.)
Sailor Mercury is a blue candle with a sort of mystical water fragrance. I took the queue for this fragrance from her attacks.. water, illusions, mirage.. this fragrance is magical!
Sailor Mars is a bold, passionate fragrance. Plums, berries, hints of strong florals.. it’s complicated to say the least, but it certainly suits the miko, manga or anime!
Currently listed in the 10oz size, if you’re interested in the 4oz size, I can hurry up in getting those listed as well! Cost is $12 a candle. Shipping is high, but any refund I can give for overage I will gladly issue. It’s just a bummer candles are heavy, fragile, and need to be cooled in transit for the summer! (Soy has a very low melt point and I ship from Texas.)
Next in line for the Final Fantasy Leading Ladies is Aerith! This one was hard for me. I just didn’t know how I wanted to do the colors or the design. So I went as far from my norm as I could to challenge myself!
The colors were a toss up.. I was thinking a simple swirl of a white base with pink, red, and light green.. but that’s my crutch. So instead I went for the browns of her hair and boots and in turn a very warm and comforting pallet. The swirl was just something whimsical with no real plan in mind. I left it up to the soap decide how it would look!
Fragrance, however, was obvious. Aerith’s flowers resemble lilies.. so her fragrance is lilies! It’s a beautiful floral, reminiscent of the pink or orange lilies you’ll find at a florist. I think it suits her and the soap color perfectly.
