If you could, I think you should also encourage people to still donate to Switchboard. Originally people were excited to donate in Mark's honor in celebration of what we thought was coming, but based on the number of devastated and suicidal asks I've seen, we should rally to donate more now in spite of what happened. Feeling betrayed by queer idols will mean more people will need Switchboard's help.

What you can do

File a complaint with the BBC.

I don’t know how much use it will be but they need to know that they’re giving money to people who at this point purposefully shit on a certain portion of their audience in the cruelest fashion imaginable. So I feel like it’s reasonable to let them know that what Mofftiss just did on Sherlock is not ok.

You’ll have to answer a couple of questions before you can write your complaint and unfortunately that has a word limit so make it precise and to the point but I guess it’s better than nothing?

We should make use of this. The three (!) complaints about the Jenny/Vastra kiss/queer characters in Doctor Who were mentioned as a single point in their annual complaints report.

Let’s make it 300 instead. Let’s make a point. It does matter who we are.

Okay so I have a lot to say

I'm going to write up everything I have felt and feel tomorrow when I rewatch the episode. I feel that they had Sherlock in such a good place, and then fucked up.
