I’m still pissed that the Vulcan way was originally shown as a better alternative to human pride, anger, bitterness, jealousy, resentment, hatred, etc. with logic and non-violence being the keys to a peaceful and moral society, while Spock and his relationship with the Enterprise crew were a reminder that instinct, empathy and each human emotion to a degree were still invaluable, but that what the modern writers seem to have gotten out of it is “durr, logic bad, keeping your shit together bad, Vulcans are all extremely bigoted repressed assholes and they have logic extremists who do suicide bombings and they hate human children and they kick puppies and the only good Vulcan is a human one”

I was going to post about season five of The Last Kingdom because seven years of my life, man, I feel like I should. But meh, who needs to put that much negativity out in the world. Basically, it gave me everything I wanted and expected, in really disappointing ways. Glad to close this fannish chapter.
