I actually disagree with the oft repeated sentiment that the "middle class are not your enemy" because they absolutely can be.

"prolitariat" as a class is good because it is unifying, the class interests of every member within the prolitariat are within the prolitariat.

the "middle class" is not a good phrase because there is no middle class interests or solidarity. the "middle class" includes many like members of the labour aristocracy, it includes small business owners, it includes workers who are just lucky with work. there is no class solidarity between these layers.

the labour Aristocracy are inherently reactionary and so will be counter revolutionary, the petit bourgeose will always turn right when the workers are looking left. it was the Petit bourgeosie who allowed the rise of hitler, and who over through Allende. these people are your enemy, they want monopoly capitalism and the imperialist endeavours that follow, and they will fight to maintain it.

blizzard being a multi-billion dollar company makes it absolutely insane to me that OWWC prize pools have to be 'crowdfunded' for by selling mediocre skins every year. even crazier is that people are more than happy to be their cash cows without even second-guessing it. capitalism is a disease.

the funniest anti argument re: zutara is "you only like them cuz zuko's hot!!" Ok that's not it... but like... so?? What if people do? We are or were teenagers once, why wouldn't we want a teenage girl to eventually end up with an 'attractive' guy who does everything to work on himself beforehand, and THEN to earn her trust and support her choices without ever making it about himself? Who stays up all night for her, who walks with her and has her back during her most difficult moments, who doesn't abandon her, who risks his life for her? Who is one of the few people she's laid her deepest feelings out to? Why wouldn't we want Katara to have THE BEST - to be with someone who offers recipocrity, maturity and a healthy foundation of friendship and respect - and not be written to submit to the sexual fantasy of and entitlement from a 12 year old?

If zutara is a self-insert ship for some, then tbh I totally understand

this logic can be applied to so many issues in so many fandoms, honestly. "you only like it for shallow reasons!" and that's totally fine. not every personal preference needs some deep, philosophical justification for its existence, especially shipping preferences. you can just like it because two hot people together are... well, hot.

forever irritated by the 'quirkification' of severe disorders like DID because i regularly have to go through the headache of trying to cancel subscriptions for websites i don't remember joining using emails i don't remember making (and therefore can't access) with security questions i don't know the answers to. the amount of awkward conversations with customer support and billing agents i've had over the years is more than enough for one lifetime.

i seriously wonder how much money this disorder has cost me – not including healthcare costs, just in ridiculous fugue-state expenditures (and i'm poor, so it's not like i can afford wasted money; it's often meant skipping meals because some alter made an impulsive financial decision while not understanding the consequences).

i accidentally overwrote my ng+ save for silent hill: f which i guess is a great excuse to re-experience the first ending (the best one, in my honest opinion)

being completely honest though, i'm very annoyed because i genuinely hate the final boss fight. it's way too tedious and long for no reason, even on easier difficulties. they could have either shortened it or diversified the combat a lot more.
