DO NOT MIX CLEANING SUPPLIES! These are chemicals we are talking about, you don't want to accidentally make a toxic fume that would be harmful to you or your pets.
Put salt in your water before boiling noodles, and a cap of olive oil. The salt helps it cook better, the oil keeps the noodles from sticking.
In a pinch white vinegar works as a disinfectant.
Use some baking soda to keep your fridge smelling fresh.
Wash your white clothes in hot water and your colored clothes in cold water. AND DON'T USE BLEACH IN YOUR COLORS.
If you are washing something that is supposed to be absorbant (towels, cloths, washable puppy pads or fleece guinea pig bedding, etc) do not use fabric softener, it will make it less observant.
DO NOT POUR OIL DOWN THE SINK! It will clog the whole freaking system!
The box is a suggestion, if your noodles need more water to finish cooking, then add some more.
Peroxide removes blood stains from clothing.
White wine removes red wine stains
I have a ton of others but these are the ones from the top of my head!

Winter can be a difficult time for both wildlife and green witches.
If you find yourself lacking inspiration as to how you can connect with nature during the winter, try making gifts for our furry or feathered friends! Many animals struggle to find food during this time of year and will appreciate your help.
Witch Tip🕯️
Walnuts are said to draw luck and prosperity. Walnut shells are also a lovely way to safely perform burial spells! Unlike a jar, the walnut shell will degrade with time and go back to the earth.
Healing Onion Stew
Serves one person.
1 onion
1 clove of garlic (or 1 tsp garlic powder)
½ dl cream (or a vegan alternative)
1 tbsp fresh chives (or 1 tsp dried)
½ tsp sage
½ tsp thyme
salt to taste
olive oil
a sigil for healing (optional)
Charge the ingredients and tools and cleanse your workspace as you please.
Chop the onion, garlic, and any fresh herbs and throw them on the pan with some olive oil. If you have a sigil, form it out of the ingredients (I recommend drawing it on the pan with oil). To charge it, heat until the onions start to look translucent. Pour in the cream, add a pinch of salt, and stir clockwise, imagining your healing process. The stew is done in 5-10 minutes. .
Serve on bread with some tomato slices or as a side dish.
I made this recipe to combat a cold, but I imagine it can work for other illnesses as well. You could switch out sage and/or thyme for something more specific though.

Witch Tip: Mortar and Pestle
Have you ever found yourself pounding away with your mortar and pestle to no avail?
Do your carefully dried flowers turn into a flattened fluke when instead you wanted a fine powder?
Toil no more! A solution lies close at hand:
Get yourself an herb grinder. Yes, an herb grinder, like what people use for weed. They come in many varieties of big and small, and some are even made to grind rougher ingredients (like whole pepper corn for example). The different sizes and shapes are not only more user friendly but they can also save some disabled witches trouble by avoiding the strenuous repetitive motions needed for using a mortar and pestle.
You can always go the headshop route and pick one up there, or they can be found pretty easily amongst other kitchen appliances. Amazon has them, (I know a lot of people try to avoid buying from them but if you look up “herb grinder” you can use their results as a starting point to buy one elsewhere), and they can be fairly inexpensive especially compared to most mortar and pestle sets.
A mortar and pestle is cool and ~aesthetic~ and can work great when it’s being used correctly, but some things just don’t grind well in them, and most of the ‘witchy’ ones are made to look pretty while lacking the functionality that cooking grade ones possess. (It has a lot to do with the texture of the mortar and the hardness of the pestle, and different ones were made to grind or crush different substances so they may be useful for one thing and useless for another).
Grinders are more versatile and less strenuous, and may save you some frustration while you’re creating your concoctions!

The Magick of Rosemary
Rosemary is associated with Hebe and Aphrodite.
Rosemary can be used to ward to ward off evil spirits and nightmares.
In France, Rosemary was burnt with Juniper berries to purify the air in hospitals.
During the Middle Ages, it was hung around the neck to protect from the plague.
Carrying a sprig of rosemary protects from the evil eye.
Rosemary attracts Faeries and good luck.
A bundle of rosemary is hung over cradles to prevent Faeries from stealing infants.
Rosemary is an embalming and sacred herb in Egypt.
Rosemary is also sacred to Greeks.
Rosemary can be used in spells for fidelity and remembrance as well as to get rid of jealousy.
Rosemary can be used for ritual baths and for making herbal water for ritual cleansing, blessing, and purification.
Taking a rosemary bath will enhance your memory.
Burn rosemary incense when you are meditating or doing dream work.
Place rosemary under your pillow to help you remember your dreams and to keep away nightmares and any unwanted night visitations.
Rosemary is a protective herb and can be used to make a protection wreath that keeps evil out.
Rosemary is also associated with love, friendship, and remembrance.
Use rosemary in spells that help boost your memory.
In England, it was burned in the homes of those who had died from illness, and placed on coffins before the grave was filled with dirt.
Burn rosemary to rid a home of negative energy, or as an incense while you meditate.
Hang a bundle above your door to keep evil and unwanted visitors out of your house.

✨🌱Stinging Nettle🌱✨
✨Botanical Latin: Urtica dioica
✨Habitat: Waste spaces, moist soil
✨Growth Habit: Perennial, 6’+ tall at maturity. Flowers in mid-late summer
✨Parts Used: Leaves and tops most often. Roots and seeds can be used as well.
✨Harvesting: Always wear thick gloves and cover your skin! Young leaves and tops - harvest before the plant flowers. See ‘cautions’ below. Roots - in the fall, after most of the energy has returned to the root from the plant. This plant is abundant, but as it’s a perennial, remember to leave at least 75% of the plants to repopulate the area.
✨Energetics and Taste: Cool, dry, salty
Physical and Medicinal
✨Biochemical Constituents: chlorophyll, insoles (histamine, serotonin,) acetylcholine, silicic acid, vitamins C, B and A, silicon, calcium, magnesium, potassium, protein, fiber, iron.
✨Actions:
All parts - Alterative, whole body and liver tonic, (fresh leaves) anti-histamine, slightly diuretic, astringent, hemostatic, galactogogue, expectorant, nutrative.
Root - Anti-lithic, diuretic

Freeze dried leaves: sinus infection. Proven effective, but must be freeze dried.
Seed: prostate and kidney disorders
Root: Prostate issues, urinary tract gravel/stones, stopped urination
✨Contraindications: Use in more restricted amounts when pregnant or breastfeeding, but it doesn’t have to be avoided all together. Don’t use with children under 2 years old. Use caution with children and the elderly. *
✨Medicinal Uses:
- One of the most popular herbs for nourishing herbal infusions. Rotate between nettles, oat straw, and linden for a good variety of nutrients.
- Good for the voice (folk-medicine, song of the sea)
- Relieve the sting by rubbing the juice of dock (rumex crispus) leaves on the sting. See folk traditions below.
- To aid in circulation and inflammation/joint issues like arthritis, sting the area (lightly) occasionally with nettles and let it sting, without using dock to relieve it.
- It’s popular in soups and as a potherb/cooked green. Once it’s cooked or dried, it loses its sting. I like to use it in any dish that I’d use spinach in.
- It has been used to slow postpartum bleeding.
✨Preparations and Dosage:
- Nourishing Herbal Infusion - One quart boiled water to one ounce of dried leaves/tops (or a little more by weight if using fresh leaves.) Steep in a mason jar with the lid on for at least 20 minutes, up to overnight. Strain and enjoy within 3-4 days of making it. Drink up to 1 quart/day but rotate between a few different herbs to get a variety of nutrients.
- Dry plant material by weight - 9-30g
- Capsules - 2 “00” size filled with powdered herb, 3 times a day
- Tincture - 10-60 drops, 1-4 times a day
✨Cautions: Do not ingest the leaves or tops after the plant has flowered or else risk causing a UTI.
Magical and Traditional
✨Elements: Primary - 🔥Fire – Secondary - 🌱Earth
✨Planet: Mars, secondary Mercury
✨Other Correspondences:
-All Parts: protections, warding, voice, communication, bind a spell, bring courage, prevent being struck by lightning, notice the things that often go unseen, mindfulness.
-Roots: banishing, curse breaking, relieving pain
-The leaves and tops after the plant has flowered: causing pain, sending a curse back, banishing, make someone’s oversight/willful ignorance come back to bite them
✨Folk Traditions:
- To soothe the sting, find some dock which usually grows nearby (rumex crispus,) grab a handful and squeeze some juice out. As you rub the juice onto the nettle sting, recite:
Nettle out, Dock in // Dock remove the nettle sting Nettle, nettle, come out // Dock, go in!
✨Specific Uses:
- The infusion is grounding and very earth centred. I feel like It may be connected to my Mother Goddess of the lake lands in Ontario.
- Use fresh tops (either before or after flowering depending on your need) to sprinkle cleansing or banishing or curse breaking (etc) water or to waft smoke. Make sure to wear gloves, of course.
- Use the dried or cooked leaves/tops to ’take the sting’ out of something or someone.
