Surely those big ears of yours are pretty sensitive, and since Surge is, er... very LOUD. Why don't you just swivel your ears around a bit to find her? Like a periscope!

Periscope? I'll admit, she can be... loud, on a occasion, but as "much" as I'd like to entertain such an idea, I don't want to blow out my eardrums trying to listen for one loud voice in a sea of loud voices, especially in a place like Westopolis.

It'd be easier if you-know-who would show his ugly bill already. It's been long enough since I last him.

Would you ever consider getting into software engineering and coding as a hobby? If you enjoy the hacking stuff, you might enjoy that too.

Could be a fun thing to do when waiting in-between events where you and surge have nothing to do, and surge would probably be happy that you found a hobby

I did already say I know computer science, but doing it as a hobby?

If you were able to go to school, what subjects would you be most interested in, Kit? I feel you may benefit from a school, as long as it's specialized to meet your accomodations and match your advanced level.

I don't think they could teach me anything I don't already know, but...

...As far as I recall, Starline trained me—at least I think he did—in various forms of engineering and computer science. Mostly the basics, but enough of the more advanced ideas and techniques to handle most challenges posed by Dr. Eggman and his robots. All to support Surge, of course. I think he always expected me to be able to challenge Tails and his gadgets, but I've always been more comfortable hacking than inventing.

I can't say it was all for nothing, though. All those lectures on chemical interactions have come in handy more recently.

From the (presumably real) door, comes a light, airy ratataptap. Someone appears to be knocking? The hedgehog opens the (presumably real) door to find below him a droopy looking bundle of deep aqua fur in yellow boots holding a sheet of equally droopy paper. Well, if it isn't Kitsunami, of course! His piercing magenta eyes stare up at the hedgehog. "I have a message for you. From Surge," the little fennec states, plainly, diverting his gaze to the page in his paws. Straightening out the leaflet, he takes but a single breath, and reads aloud.

"Die."

"Kit? How'd you know I was-" Sonic is interrupted by the fennec.

"Okay, what's the message?"

"'Die.'"

Of course it is... "Yup, she would send a message like that."

With Surge's message delivered, Kit neatly folded up the note and slipped it into the space between the small of his back and his hydro pack.

"I tried to give her some suggestions on writing a more creative threat, but she told me my ideas were too graphic, even for her." The fennec shrugged, his half-lidded eyes lazily drifting off towards some unknown point of interest.

He gave the hedgehog a halfhearted wave of the hand as he turned to leave.

Have you ever considered trying to speak with Lanolin? She's the exhausted pissed off sheep you saw in the sweepstakes, but I assure you, she has similar thoughts and beliefs to you two on the sonic cycle. And I think she may genuinely be interested in teaming up with you, not for wanting anything out of you two like the others, but for a common goal. Thoughts?

We saw her plenty of times before the sweepstakes, but if she had the same opinions on Sonic as Starline, she never voiced them around us. Besides, Surge and I don't need anyone else trying to tell us what to do.

At least, she didn't.
