Man u guys prob now this but i ADORE The Reunion, it's a fantastic comic for Bobbi's comeback of not-the-death that explores SHE as a character and the trauma it left in her being abducted by the Skrulls and how that changed the woman she is forever, but all you talk about is that one and only winterhawk scene of all the fucking comic.

It's actually kinda funny the difference their sexual assaults had in both of them. For Bobbi most people know her experience with Phantom Rider because it shared protagonism with in the main arc with the other adventure of the wca, and later it's a breaking point for her relationship with her husband. The weight it gets in the original story and her character is why (at least I think) everyone knows of it retcon (and also because even behind the femenist facade it's just blalantly insensitive, misoginystic and ultimely puts all the blame in the victim)

But with Kate it should be actually be just AS IMPORTANT for her character, since it was the reason of why she became a hero in the first place. Tw for sa under the cut

Young Avengers Special (2006) #1

This is the first and only mention of her assault, as I am aware. Which is crazy because is this experience that changes the curse of her life by her deciding to want to protect another people of going trought the similar experience.

All-New Hawkeye (2016) #6

Anyways, ANH retells her origin story by replacing her sexual assault by having her being saved of her kidnaper by the Avengers, but specially, by Clint.

It literally ignores her being survivor of sexual assault and talking that experience to make a change in her life to her being saved by Clint, admiring him since then and basing all her identity on him.

In general this comic is horrific for her, and I don't even think the writer even read another comic of her that wasn't Hawkeye 2012, it ignores all her character traits and independency to make Clint her role model and the one she shaped her life around of, which also ignores the impact of Jessica Jones in her life but whatever.
