“Yeah well maybe if you spent less time shopping or doing your hair…” he grumbled. “You’re not as stupid as you like people to think you are.”

Kittie turned on her side, facing away from him and stared at the wall. “I literally walked into my first class and they had all already assumed I was stupid and daddy paid for me to get in here.” She said quietly. “I don’t have to even do anything for people to think I’m dumb, despite you already deciding I want people to think that.”

Luigi smiled into his glass, “I’ll see about that.” He glanced round, another check to ensure his wife wasn’t behind him, checking the time on his watch. It had been a while. She was probably crying over something as usual, he wasn’t there getting agitated over a round belly, it wouldn’t be hard for her to do the same. “I think you need a keeping in touch meeting at work.”

Her grip tightened against the edge of the sink, “I didn’t say that. But of all the hundreds of men it could possibly be, I can put my life on it not being his.” Her eyes focused on his face, she looked into his dark eyes. She was being spiteful when she bought it up but wondered if he even fully believed it was his baby. Good. He deserved to suffer that uncertainty. “He wouldn’t touch Alyce for all the money in the world.”

“Yeah? What time?” she asked. “And should I bring kneepads, or are you still willing to fuck me when I’m this huge?” she asked quietly, with a little smirk. 

“Yeah.” Vinny said. “It’s mine.” he said with a great deal more confidence then he felt. “She’s not a fucking idiot. I’d notice if it wasn’t mine.”

“9am. Monday. Don’t be late. I’m a busy man.” He said quietly, lowering his voice barely above a whisper. “If it’s from behind I won’t even notice what size you are.”

“Oh, yeah? And how would you notice? Do you have some kind of X-ray vision into her stomach and this baby has your exact stupid face?” She laughed, almost genuinely amused by his certainty. “People convince themselves their kids are theirs everyday, you won’t be alone atleast.”

“If I dropped out now, do you think Daddy would kill me or disown me?” Kittie lay back on Luigi’s bed and stared at his dorm ceiling. “It’s too hard. My professor hates me, every guy in my class is gay so I can’t even make someone do my work for me, all the girls either hate me because I’m not povo or are totally boring and follow me around.”
