Today's the day! We welcome you to the ceremony with this breathtaking film by animator @xuune and musician @/PimpernelVA (yt), capturing Jayce and Viktor's happily ever after. (Video description under the cut.)
ID/Video description: ID/Video description: A short film by animator xuune (tumblr) and musician PimpernelVA (yt). Throughout the film plays a magical piano track backed by ethereal vocals. First we see Jayce and Viktor standing on a balcony surrounded by flora and golden pillars. This is post-canon, with Jayce in his green shirt and left leg brace and Viktor with purple skin, his right leg brace, a hexcorized staff, and Jayce’s blue blanket draped over his shoulders. Jayce kneels and proposes to Viktor, smiling at Viktor softly. Viktor, at first shocked, smiles back contentedly. He then bends down to kiss Jayce, dropping his staff. Jayce rises and they kiss again. Butterflies drift over the screen and we transition into a shot of Jayce fixing his white and red wedding suit in a golden art nouveau mirror. Viktor, in the next shot, fixes the sleeves and butterfly bolo tie of his gold and white caped suit in front of a similarly styled art nouveau mirror. Fade into a shot of the ceremony venue: a flowered archway in front of thin metal chairs, pink-flowering trees, and verdant fauna all around. Fade into a shot of two rings sitting on a pink pillow surrounded by rose petals. Rose petals float over the screen to transition into a shot of the ceremony: A medium shot of Jayce holding Viktor’s hand while he places a ring on his finger, then Viktor placing a ring on Jayce’s hand. Cut to a shot of the audience: Ximena, Caitlyn, Vi, and Mel clapping and cheering (with Sky, Ekko, and Jinx in the back row clapping as well). Cut to Jayce and Viktor kissing. Fade to white then into a shot of purple and pink sky and yellow clouds, panning down to a mountain scene and Jayce and Viktor sitting by a lake holding hands. Cut to a closeup of their interlocked fingers and the ring glinting in Jayce’s hand. And a final fade to a long shot of the lake from behind them, as they hold each other and look out into the setting sun behind the magnificent purple mountains, casting orange light over the scene while wildflowers blow in the wind in the foreground. The ethereal voice in the soundtrack sings, “If we never wake from this dream, could it last for infinity?” The end credits roll over this last shot, reading: “I Promise You: A Jayvik Wedding Zine.
