this should be talked about more because i havent been able to stop thinking about it. This is partially what made me make Brokenshire one of my blorbos in the first place.

Out of all of the characters in TGS I really believe people don’t talk about Brokenshire enough, I know I know he’s just that one police officer guy who we’re all sick off, but he gives something to the story that makes it even better. First scenes with him, he’s happy and not as bitter as we all thought. Then he gets more suspicious, more, more, and more so to a point where he’s done being a push over and Starts Being A Law Helping Citizen™️

Little TGS fanart I took way too long to finish 😅 excuse me struggling with the hands for (actual hours, they made me so mad) in the time lapse.

Im a bit new to this fandom (read it as of January) and absolutely fell in love. Cannot stop drawing these two, maybe I’ll post more in the future. (Forgive me as I relearn the tumblr posting layout after 5 years of being absent)

Day 14 of my Women’s History Month art challenge! (Six days late :,D)

Rachel Pidgley from The Glass Scientists by @arythusa !! I LOVE tgs, it got me really into Jekyll and Hyde as a whole, and it’s also been a big art inspiration for me these past few years. Rachel is great, she’s a very fun, interesting character, and love that she seems to get along with (almost) everyone. The background is based on her kitchen, specifically what’s visible of it on page 15 of chapter 3, since I love the colors and the warm atmosphere, it looks very cozy in there :]

for clarity’s sake this is metaphorical, re!jekyll doesn’t actually see or hear a tiny jekangel or hydevil on his shoulder, but this silly little visual popped in my head and i just really felt like drawing it. this was partially an excuse to draw re!jekyll going through it, and partially an excuse to make a little “erm, actually” jekyll, cause i love when he’s a punchable little nerd :)

this is kind of a continuation of that one concept i mentioned in my first re!jekyll post, where intense emotions or internal conflict can trigger green goop. in this case, it’s the latter (as represented by the shoulder angel and devil, a classic visual representation of internal conflict). i ended up keeping the goop subtle here, with it just showing up as sweat, but do know that it can (and will) get worse in more intense situations.

the best (and dumbest) way i can think to describe re!jekyll’s characterization is as follows: jekyll would never bite someone because he is a gentleman, and biting people is extremely improper. hyde would eagerly bite someone with zero hesitation or remorse. re!jekyll would bite someone in the heat of the moment, then instantly feel guilty and start apologizing profusely. duality.

I love seeing other people in The Glass Scientists fandom/community picking favorite characters, like Hyde, and Rachel, perhaps The Creature..and then I'm just there with Moreau.

MMMYYY MAAAAAAAAAAN!!! I get giddy any time he gets mentioned in an update <3 Loved Army Of Nightmares specifically so I'd get more evil old man.
